If any of you up for tomorrow, we will use the GR4 Ferrari and track will be Barcelona. I will open a lobby at 11.00 US, 17.00 UK time. Probably be around 1 hour 30 in duration.

I will open lobby, timing as above, but I think that our 15 minutes of practise starts at 12.00 US, 18.00 UK. This may be a better time for others to join in.

We can use the hour for some free practise and also give me a chance to work out how to set up the qualifying part.
 
Championship idea would be fun.all with same car or different cars assigned by lot. The other day I learned that in time races no qualifications, only pratice. But you can put pole to the fastes.
 
If different cars bop on and Free setup. Tires choise depend 3x, 4x, .......

Now Firenze 9.58, London 8.58, New York 3.58 (I think)

Geezers and Friends Wednesday Night at the Racetrack. We will start at Suzuka x 5 laps. Cars will be: N700 1967 Chevy Nova ( purchase in Gran Turismo brand central $300,000.00. 74/100 power weight.) other cars are the N600 Viper GTS ‘13 and the 458 Italia ‘09. Room opens 7:30/6:30/4:30 Eastern/ Central/ Pacific. We will vote on car to use first race. Be there or be square. ( how’s that John) Later ladies!!
 
Testing went ok on Monday for the league races. Although only 4 of us it seemed to work ok with the settings. Qualifying will work, I will just have to set the grid manually.

If anyone is around later, I will have a lobby open again for some more testing. From about 10.00 US, 16.00 UK. for a couple of hours. I would like to try the qualifying with more guys if possible.

We will use the GR4 458. Settings will be open. Track will be Barcelona.

When I wanted a qualifying session, I tell everyone how long it's for and after changing the lobby's time (clears practice laps) and reloading the track, the time starts. Same as point races, if you cross the start before the time runs out, you get to finish the lap. If people park up (out of the way) on the track while others finish, ie not exit to the pits or cross the finish line, you can start the race from there with fastest first.

I watched a big F1 lobby race that had an unusual qualifying format the other day. One out lap and one qualifying lap. You have to decide how hard you want to push as one small mistake costs dearly. It may be a bit extreme but it's entertaining as you can send each driver out one at a time and everyone who hasn't run at that point can watch. Same deal as above, get people to park up after they finish their lap.

Actually I like this format - "to be fair" ;). If we know the track(s) and car(s) for each race beforehand we can be prepared before entering the lobby. It may speed up the between races dead time as guys go round and round practicing while those satisfied with their time sit and wait. For the most part we Geezers typically keep our races moving relatively quickly but improving those dead times certainly would help us get more races in before we head to Blue Moon and commence the 7 lap mayhem,, which IS the high point for many to most of us.
