Either they've modified the lighting engine, or someone finally turned the exposure settings up (as I normally did during GT6 daytime racing). The sunny day looks way more authentic with the brighter settings.

There wont be another beta, it was dismissed by sony about a day after that news arrived via a ps blog.

Weirdly there is the same shadow flickering as in the 911 Suzuka video. Brands didn't have that issue before. Might be the new tweaks to the lighting causing that.

Unfortunately if you look closely the replays were zoomed in. You can see how the "Gr. 3" is being cut off. Also, there is should be a player name tag below it :

TGS build has some good UI differences compared to Frankfurt event/MEGAWEB JP build.

Track map AI cars are marked blue instead of gray.
Location/Apex symbol goes from white to pink-ish according to proximity instead of solid cyan-ish.
The whole single race track selection menu.

UX team tightening every bit they can.

So the driver sits on the middle unlike the normal LMP, which is fine I guess. Pretty cool cockpit btw.

Just at the end of the gif the driver hits a paddle shifter. This car is supposed to run on hydrogen if I remember correctly. I assumed it would have one gear like an electric car. Pretty cool.

The ai at Brands looks very disappointing i must say.

It's set to the highest level yet at the start of the last lap there are only 3 cars in it - and one of those is the players.

At that level the majority of the field should still be in it - fighting for the top positions but instead it's just a couple of cars with large distances from 2nd/3rd place to the rest of the field.

I mean i don't want to knock the game as ive really been looking forward to it but is this the best they've got for the ai after 4 years of developement?

Fair enough, no proper single player career mode - im not over the moon about that either but at least in that case get the ai in arcade mode to give us a fight and some excitement on the highest setting.

Yes, i know its online focused but from time to time i'll want a no online pressure, more relaxed kind of race, but, lol, i wasn't expecting it to be challenge-less.

I guess though that is what they want - buy that ps plus and online you go.

Maybe this was an old build and it's going to get patched, here's hoping as GT Sport was the only reason ive been holding on to my PS4.

dragon trail is awesome impressed the improvement it had.
The track board, people with different routines climbing the stairs, walking behind the stands and or the guardrail and all so ****ing naturally.
