Looks more vibrant now with the trackside details but PD still haven't managed to fix the freezing GT flag on top of the building @ 1:19, was also present in the beta too.

They're moving.

They're moving.

Should have explained a bit more, the flags are stationary until you come pretty close to the building (from any driving view); then they start moving altogether suddenly.

Man it's looking good. I don't think this was a simple exposure lift difference. There seems to be more atmospheric haze in general, in both videos. Seems that way to me.

Possibly as well as some lighting buffs, shadow tonal lifting and colours seem a bit different, makes we wonder if it's related to HDR conversion to non HDR capture. Don't know really.

At any rate I think it looks better and adds to the overall realism with these changes. Just need to fix that shadow flicker and rough shadow edges.

Can't wait to see it on my TV. :dopey:

Could be as simple as a different time if day being used.

The over saturated reds and oranges means it's HDR output

It seems with HDR captures footage, things like the track / tarmac surface is overly dark (like a newly paved road). With these newer builds, it could be colors are more vibrant across the board.

Nice kickstarter music to really drive home what you need to buy this wheel

Which is appropriate because knowing the prices of the current gen wheels, you might need a kickstarter just to get one.

Just at the end of the gif the driver hits a paddle shifter. This car is supposed to run on hydrogen if I remember correctly. I assumed it would have one gear like an electric car. Pretty cool.

Indeed its a car that runs on Hydrogen, but it can still use Gears . Look at Formula E, perfect example that you don't need a gas engine to use a gearbox.

Of course nitpicking : the atmosphere is still not up to Forza/PC (flags in grandstand, choppers...)
But this faaar better than before.

 the shadows of the trees are fixed, foliage added, lighting is phenomenal
Have you seen the recent video of Audi R8 LMS at Nordschleife? Pop-ups and shadows being rendered on sight and shadow flickering on Brands Hatch is evident too.

But still, looks far better than everything else imo.

You don't need the gearbox on an electronic engine at all. They provide 100% of the power 100% of the time. When you see it in Formula E it's because the driver wants it as a crutch.

That's from the Frankfurt demo which is older than the TGS demo

From my understanding (could be wrong here) if you output a HDR image/video to a non HDR source -- the colors would be muted and crushed (darker overall). It is not the case here. There is some sort of oversaturation though. No idea what this is.

Sony branded pseudo-HDR for non hdr displays :D jk

I'd imagine every Gr.1 car requires a Gearbox, this probably explains why the chapparral was never used for Gr.1.
