just wondering..

i believe the feint drift is the same technique as the scandinavian flick rite?

i watched initial d and in the first ep, they talked about an inertia drift. which drifting technique otherwise known as?

i can do it in gt3, and to my knowledge (actually, from wat i read :P ), its a combination of feint and lift off o/steer

yes/no? maybe?

i wish i had my own ps2 and gt3 :(

O/T:
any news on gt4? they better bring back autumn ring and grindelwald :) pls take out test course races!! :/

oh.. how did u find gt concept? gameplay was too quick i reckon and any fun drifting in concept? :)

Inertia Drift is continuing a drift into another perfect drift without losing speed while starting the other :D confuse? :D

Why dont we start a small drifting challenge. We pick a car and try to drift it. Not a competition but just to see if it can be done? I'd like to see a Pink Vitz drift

Hehehe It's not a secret :P It's kind of simple setup actually:

Sports Suspension
Weight Reduction Stage 1
All Engine upgrades and Stage 1 Turbo
(You can put how much HP you want, it can even be stock ;))
Normal Tires front/Simulation Tires rear

You might want to use a full racing tranny to setup the gear ratios also, but I was too lazy to do that.

But the most important is really the Tires setup, the rest can be any way you want, because you will be using the ebrake to sustain the drift, not power. You can also try using Super Softs tires in front, that will make the car go sideways easier :)

tried it with full sims?

can't wait to try it.. but have to goto a friend's place since i ain't got a ps2

u seemed to use the handbrake a lot.. sorta like a pumping action.. which makes me wonder.. u kinda need a fair amount of speed going into that corner and normal vitz hp doesn't seem to suffice hehe :P

Yea, I tried now with a stock vitz and full sim tires, works fine, but the car tends to go to the outside of the corner more than with normal tires in front.

Hi, I'm new at this drifting thing, and I don't have a steering wheel, so it's somewhat hard to drift. I started out with a MR2 fully modified, I was suprised how well I did within the first 2 hours of trying, then I moved onto the Lancer Evo 7, I did so well I drifted the whole tunnel in Special Route 5 within 1 hour, I was wondering.. Can you drift with everycar if skilled?

Cause I tried the skyline r34, and that thing doesn't drift very well for me, can anyone give me some pointers?

I have to drift using the Dual Shock also :(

I belive that in GT3 all cars are driftable, of course I haven't drifted them all, but every car I tried I was able to drift pretty well. Some are better to drift then others, but they can all be drifted :)

I'm not too much into 4WD drift, so I can't really help you with the Skyline, but try using stage 3 weight reduction since it's a pretty heavy car, VCD at around 40% and use something like medium tires front and hard/slick tires rear.

You mean Simulation Tires isn't always the key?

LOL!
I'm watching the thing in the beginning when noones driving but they show you how to do the map. I'm driving a Silvia Spec R and the guy can't control the car! He keeps spinning out, I thought they could always control the car.. :odd:

That happens here too, the AI always spinout my drift cars. :P

Like I said I'm not that good at 4WD drift, I don't really enjoy drifting with 4WD cars, but I belive that with this tire setup its easier to do. Some heavy braking/ebrake usage is required tho. :)

Digidrifter.. u mite have too much grip if u need to use the handbrake *all* the time. try using lower grip tyres, try mixing or even use sim tyres if you think u can handle it

Yea, using sim tires, or even normal tires on FR cars you shoundn't need to use the ebrake at all, even on long corners(unless you want to use it to initiate the drift to be more sideways on the corner). Make sure TCS and ASM is turned off also :)

Thanks for visiting :)

Well, this site is a project... But for now it's just an informative site about drifting and japanese cars, since both things are unknown here in Brazil. Also, we don't have any RWD cars here, exept for BMWs, which are way too expensive.

It's a shame that cars like the Silvias, 180sx, Cefiro, RX-7 and others are nonexistent here.

I meant FF car's I need to always use eBrake for FF cars, FR cars I can handle pretty well, for a beginner.

Has anyone played the Initial D arcade game? I have :D WICKED!:D

INTIAL D ARCADE STAGE IS DA BEST!!!!!! lol
i have the Nissan Silvia K's S14
i haven't played much, considering it costs a buck per race....
i've finished the 1st area, 2nd area is almost done. I just didn't beat the Blue MR2 G-Limited. Then in the 3rd area I've already beaten the two Evo's ^_^

I started playing Initial D when my older brother showed me the game, I'm only 14 though, but the arcade I go to knows me so I'm allowed.. :). I bought the FC :D I'm not the best but I'm pretty good for a 14 year old, I beat the MR2 on my second try.

Akina's Fun :P

But experts too crazy, too many turns!!!!

theres another coin-op drifting game whose name i can't remember :/
battle stage or something? its not an initial D title
its a drifting game and the stages are hell nice to drive on
handling is.. well.. manageable since i haven't drifted in real life b4.. its got most of the stages in initial d! :P theres about 8 stages (don't know if it includes reverse track) and i could finish all but the 8th one..

u should try it.. pretty good
:)

i tried it in KL (msia) & singapore and had a lot of fun with it.. (wallet got a bit light).

too bad they don't have this game and initD's Arcade Stage's in perth :(
