Hey guy, new to the board, definetly not to the series. i have been known to fire up gt2 once in a while when lusting for some of those unique cars you wish made it into 4...
anywho...
1 is there a way to use your GT mode cars in arcade mode?
2 screen shots show head to head racing on the les vegas track. again, do you know how to do this? its not on the track list in arcade mode.

thanks for any help!

I'm not exactly sure how but I believe you can get the various views you may be interested in.

My suggestions are to go into game play view (not normal replay view) and use the left and right D-pad buttons.
Eventually that should lead you to the view you want.

If not come back and try us again. :D
Best of luck. 👍

btw, major props to you for not creating a new thread. 👍
I can't believe that is your first post none the less!

haha, no problem

anyway, i tried every button combo possible (i 'think') in both replay views, to no avail..

its a shame, i really dislike it when developers take out things that could easily be left in and not have any negative effect on the game, i hope they havnt and im just not pressing the right buttons

surely the right an left wingmirror views arnt the only 'on car' views. i know theres a photo mode and everything, but it doesnt exactly do what im after

just a quick query..

i played gt3 a fair bit, but never got that far, bought a few cars but tried to save up as much money as possible, anyway, i wanted to take GT4 more seriously, and transferred around 100,000 creds

anyway, i got the b licence before even buying a car, then got the used "subaru impreza WRX v.III" '96, and have now got it to around 400bhp + betetr suspension, brakes, etc.. and have around 35,000 left. but im getting alot of understeer, anything recommended, shift the bias to the back wheels? at some point i wouldnt mind learning to drift

my problem is i havnt took many racing games too seriously, the most played would be burnout 3, which no doubt says alot about me

i bought brake balance and increase rear to 8 and also drop some heights on suspension.

New to this forum,

i just wanted to ask why does the tvr CERBERA speed 12 wheel spin up to mid 4th gear very frustrating i cant drive the dam thing

it has too much hp. i guess you can turn up the traction control or try put on racing tires.

Consider the tires to be at Hard (front) Super Hard (rear) since the Speed 12 wears the tires rather quickly...

Last couple of day the threads are just boring, or is it just me? Nothing new and interesting popping, only reruns, i-pools and nonsense... We could start some more elaborated thread on some interesting topic... what do you guys think?

I was thinking something more GT4-wise... ;) I mean, something like "Limited Slip Diferential for dummies" (people were talking about LSD the other day, but you had to be an engineer to follow that....) or maybe "How to properly adjust your suspension" regarding in-general non-car-specific setups...

That's sounds good. Care to share the Zen and the Art of Adjusting the Limited Slip Differential?

Well, I was hopping for somebody that understands the subject to come to the front and teach us about this karma :) Maybe we should call someone on the forum and ask him to explain it to us!

Theres a thread somewhere in the settings forum the covers the basics of LSD, it basiclly puts it simple so you can drive you're car, see it oversteer too much and change the right setting accordingly. If I bump into the thread I'll link it here, but do a quick search and you should find it no problem.

how to properly use LSD: squeeze a couple drops on tongue. put GT4 into your PS2. start racing nurburgring 24h until the turns seem to bend a bit more then usual. repeat as needed.

ok time to liven things up a bit. here some of my favourite airborne pictures i've flashed to my computer. note: NONE of these have been photoshopped, i PROMISE.

I'd like to see something like that too, only broken down by Drivetrain.

I.e. You should generally do *this* with and FR and *this* with and MR, etc.

The game IndyCar II had a great tuning guide, but it also gave you *exact* tire tempuratures for the inside/middle/outside parts of your tire. The guide was so good you could look at your tire wear and temp and go, ok, need to adjust this and this to bring that tire into line, and when you made those adjustments, it also fixed the handling of the car. Sure wish I could find that manual...<sigh> in a box somewhere...

the thing they call a "manual" that came with GT4 is pitiful. the Japanese version came with such nice elaborate packaging!! why can't PD take care of their american customers.....

and their European customers as well :dopey:

Man... tell me about it... the GT3 manual was ok, with some tips and everything... I thought that maybe PD would do to the manual what it was doing to the game... make it better. The GT4 manual is as crappy as the Logitech DFP manual... they both stink! 👎
