Hey, guys, I'm on day 850 and I've been looking every 5 days in Used Lot II for a Blue 240sx '96. Am I waisting my time? Does it even exist in that color? Closest I've seen is dark purple.

first off, the used lots change every 7 days.

secondly, your going around the cycle for a second time at that day, so day 850 is just like day 150. In the GT4 section of this site (the little tab at the very top) their is a car list. look for the car you want and click on it. then click on classifieds. it will tell you all the weeks that car pops up but unfortunatly it dosent have it's color. just write down the next time it appears and as you advance through the game check the used lot and see if the one there is blue. I'm having a similar problem (just a few posts up) and thats what I'm doing, sort of.

Off the top of my head If you are talking about the fastback 240, I dont think I have ever seen that car in blue... in any GT game. The regular 240 (S14) I know was available in blue in GT3 so it should be in GT4 also.

Also I would just like to say, good move posting in here instead of making a new thread like most do. :)👍

yeah, I've looked about 200 times now. But I have seen a blue Prelude '98 I can't remember if it was a type S or when I saw it (day 500 something I think), but I know I saw a blue 98 Prelude.

I checked the car list and it doesn't tell me anything I need to know about the 240sx. I did figure out what happened to my Toyota Soarer (Lexus SC300) by looking at the list though.

Yay, at least now there's someone else who saw it. I didn't think it came that late in the game but at least I have hope now. :dopey: Sorry I couldn't help.
 
After a month of retirement, I'm proud to say I'm going to be a GT4 junkie again.
I thought about why I quit, I thought I did everything possible, but then I took a look at my A Spec pts (25k) and thought my season sucked.
I won't stop til i get around 75,000.

Yea I just saw a 98 dark blue Prelude Type S im only around day 250.

Man, I hate to tell you, but I think that may have been a '96 Type S. If you buy the car you can see all the different colors it comes in in Arcade Mode (I think the '98 is available in arcade mode anyways.) But I checked and I saw no blue option. I don't think it exists, unless it is a one off version of the car like the black LMP cars.
 
i just did the 24hour race at the ring and it didnt get dark in the whole 24hours! i was looking forward to the ring at night but it seems they have perpetual daylight in germany !

its in the config settings. you need to adjust your earth tilt so the 'ring lattitude is < 70 degrees north. then you should get the full cycle. either that or wait 6 months and hope your high beams are good

Or you can always try wearing sunglasses for now.

Hey guys. I didnt feel like making a new thread over this, but I really need some help. I have a funny feeling someone swaped my GT4 disc. :banghead:

I was wondering if there is any way of linking the origonal case the game came in to the game.

Sorta like the numbers on the bottom of the side or sumthin like that. I would also help if you could post those numbers so i could compare them to mine.

Im not sure if this is the right place but o well. lol. This would be greatly appreciated if you could give me a hand with this. I really want my orignal copy and the one i have now doesnt work :sick: .

*edit*...Sorry about that post guys. I guess its the same on all the copies. I got a friend to check it out for me. If you could still post the #'s I wouldnt mind double checking though. Thx :guilty:

Yeah. Thanks anyway. Lol, i guess this really sucks. Out GT4 fer a lil while. O well, guess that means I have to play some PC games for a few days. :grumpy:
 
You turn the music off by deselecting all the music tracks in the jukebox for the replay mode. When you go to replay, go to the DIVE camera (pressing square)... now the DIVE camera will not change at all unless you press X (in practice runs) or will change at a much more sedate pace (in races).
 
hey guys, i was looking for some mercedes/BMW M5 advice...


which mercedes ( *available for purchase* *new, not legendary* ) would you say is the fastest? which has the most bhp? which do you think has the best handling? and finally, which mercedes do YOU get best times in?


also, does the BMW M5 stand up to the better mercedes cars? any comments on max bhp, speed, handling, weight etc. would be hugely helpful.

thanks in advance to anyone with the knowledge i seek!
 
SLR McLaren is definitely the fastest Mercedes road car, but I recommend the SL65 AMG as a much better deal for one third of the money.

The BMW M5 may be an even better deal than the SL65 AMG, because if you're a good driver, you should be able to beat the Mercedes SLs driven by the AI.
 
The BMW M5 can stand up to an AI SLR, but person to person with equally matched drivers, the SLR should win.

The BMW has a little less understeer (subjectively) and rolls a bit less, but the McLaren SLR is much faster and stickier. In other words, M5=fun to drive, SLR=race winner.
 
Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a list of cars that can be used in the special races? Ege K-cup, schwarzwold A and B etc). I know they give a few, but each one also says "etc" at the bottom of the list, what are the other cars?
 
I'll admit I haven't looked that hard, but have the glowing brake disks disappeared in GT4.
I thought they got glowing way too quickly in GT3, but still thought it looked good.
I haven't seen them in GT4 - Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, I've seen the glowing disc brakes in GT4...
