Geeze, Cobragt, that's got to be one of the largest screenshots I've ever seen!

Thanks,

MasterGT

Code, you have pgr2, and that game has old nurb right? Look at the pic I posted, look at the thing in the distance, with the sponsor thing on it. I remember seeing that in a pgr2 pic, with a enzo in it. That is nurb right, the same old nurb, opened in 1927, with 174 turns in pgr2?

Anything less than a supercar and your looking at 8 mins +.

Exactly. Hopefully the guys at Polyphony will realize this and keep races to about 3 laps at most. Unless it is an endurance test.

Little info from gamespot, regarding the graphics.

The graphics engine has also evolved, so you'll be able to see the reflections of other cars and static objects on the track mirrored in the glossy finish of your own car.

That is good, looks like pd is doing some amazing things on the ps2.

Yes, that is the Nordschliefe. That's the Schloss Nurburg on the right hand side above the Skyline. The road kinks to the left just under that bridge in the distance. Once you go through there, there's a chicane and then the start finish line.

and if one doofus talks about the Radical SR3 turbo, I kick his ass. That's not a proper road car.

It has registration plates (licence plates), it has to be taxed, it has a full complement of lights and signals, a horn and must pass the MoT and emissions tests which race cars aren't subject to (if you wish to drive it on the road that is). It's a road car.

Weve known about the reflections for ages, some time last year. As for the vioce chat GT4 will support it but not during an online race only in pre and post race sessions and in chat rooms.

You'd better be ready to get your ass kicked by plenty of people, there is nothing that makes the SR3 any less of a road car than a Westfield or Lotus or the fantastic 959.

I'm going to visit the Nordschleife, maybe next year when I get my TVR, I'll have to video itfor you all, and ofcourse I'l be taking a trip down the Autobahn.

Imagine a realistic online race there. Or imagine an S license test there (I could see myself going bald very quickly).

That track is too long! I could finish that track in 7 mins with the pardon.

Might not be so bad actully... There will be plenty of time to catch up.

If they got the ring... I wonder if there will be any other longer tracks.

PD just made me a very happy man either way.

An absolute top of the line supercar like the Enzo or Carrera GT will do a very good lap in about 7:30. In a game people are likely to take chances and bring it down, but not by much on a clean lap.

Mwahahahahahaha!!!
First, the full Nur track is on GT4. Then, according to Gamespot, my most anticipated car will also be in GT4, the 1992 Acura Integra GS-R, yehey! Wahoo! Yeah Baby!!!

Nurburgring is siCK... i got good practice playing Project Gotham Racing 2... i know i can lap it in the 7 min. 30+ sec. range with the Enzo Ferrari...

i'm very GLAD that PD added that track in GT4 :D

Ehh, nah. You can't drive it without a helmet. It's not a car, it's a bike with 4 wheels.

They are saying 100 tracks again. But still 500 cars. It wont be 500 :) it will be closer to 800 with the extra year after saying 500 a year ago.

This is the best news ever. I'd almost go so far as to say it's better news than hearing the Mac F1 is in.
Not that it matters hugely but I wonder under what conditions we'll be able to use the track? Maybe it will be like Complex String with no actual races on it, and only testing and head to head available on it. Maybe you'll only be able to drive solo on it like the High Res SSR11 in GT2. I'm happy as long as we can drive the track one way or another, but it would be even better still if we could do races against the AI there.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

This is great news! I wonder what this means for other long tracks like Le Mans. The wait keeps getting harder.

im sure ill get flamed for this, but i want some initial D style mountain pass courses. i really wanna see it happen. it was so exciting racing people in that game, and in battle gear 3, and in auto modellista down a mountain(im sure rocketpunch knows of this feeling). in terms of racing people, those style of maps give me the most adredaline rush. its the high amount of turns and the different, but sharp radiuses that keep me on my toes. always looking in the review mirror after every turn, holding my breath through the turns, and always the sigh of relief when i win from a close race.

So kind of educate me here. The Nurburgring Nordschleife (can't spell real well, I'm sorry) is the famed 24-hour race at the Nurburgring?

By the way, that picture on Page 2 is a nice one, but could you shrink it down to maybe 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768?

Who knows? If this track (which is the longest circuit in the world, by the way) makes it into GT4, imagine what Le Mans would look like...
