:sly: and here i thought i was going way to slow :)

t1 - 20.523
t2 - 40.128

some more time and i can get another couple of :crazy: hundredths :sick:

👍 👍 to CFM - good track and a good handling car, just wish it had a little more horsepower

After a good 35 minutes, using the DS2. I found that using the red color scheme rather than black lowered my T2 time by a good .3 seconds... go figure.

T1: 0:20.498
T2: 0:40.361

Oh I see, yeah, I didn't know who Scott Speed was either...

I sat down for a couple laps earlier today, but I kept falling asleep at the wheel because I stayed up too late last night getting my initial session in and doing laundry... Meh, it caught up with me. So who knows if I'll get any better tonight, I took a short nap, but still...

Hmm, I might have to try that seeing as I've been using the black one as well... :)

Looks like i'm running for top positions in Div 3. But I'm scared now. I don't have that max thing so i can't post replays..... :ouch:

Keep in mind i got the info from the unofficial leaderboard from this week. Also not manny Div 3 racers. What's up with that?

Keep in mind that we're not that far into this week's challenge. Also, a few people will only have time to try for a time during the weekend or later in the week. Expect a lot of new entries in the leaderboard and/or reduction in times of those people on the board.

Lately there's been a bit of a downturn in the number of submissions for the WRS (myself included for the last few weeks). There are various reasons for this drop in attendance. The first is that when GT4 was first released, interest increased, leading to many new members both here at GTPlanet and in the WRS (again, myself included). However, as time has moved on, some people have stopped attending or have been attending less frequently. Other commitments (girlfriends, boyfriends, family, friends, work, school, uni etc) may limit the time people can put in to the WRS.

Part of me is thankful for the downturn though (less competition :lol: )

Downturn is good, leaves all the die hard guys who are serious, and they are the guys you normally become good mates with 👍.

i know guys i know. :)

Ok , here's another two sessions. Strangely, i couldn't beat T1 of the previous runs. Still they're both faster overall (more then 0..5 seconds).

Session 5:

T1: 0'20.640 T2: 0'40.224

Session 6:

T1: 0'20.627 T2: 0'40.024 ( T2 couldn't have went better)

I now just read the write up couple pages back. Could easely see me doing Left long hander better then now, hmmm Probably the first also seeing i have such a bad T1 section. Oh well, I'm very pleased with my final time wright now:p.

new splits:

T1: 20.459
T2: 39.595 (excellent split i admit it) not happy with total..... last corner.....

Just took exactly quarter of a second off my total time but when I watched the replay I realised I just had 3 wheels outside the rumble strip in the second tunnel :ouch:

Small_Fryz, did you see my last post in the 8 min Civic thread? My car's only showing 275bhp with those mods, dunno if that's my mistake though.

Is your car used?, I think mine is a prize car. That would explain it! My hp is definetly correct.

back to WRS

I did a few more laps and after watchin some BC replays to find out where i was going wrong i improved my T1 - finish. Thanks to Ron for your wonderful writeup!, helped me out heaps in the middle sector mate 👍

new -------- old
20.419 -----20.437
39.598------39.777

Improved @ the line by .25 or so 👍 Grab another .1 in T1 and pick up another .1 somewhere else and i be a happy chappy 👍

That's ok. We'll just have to come to your house and burn your PS2 to its ashes.
(Are PS2's Thermoplastic or Thermosetting...?) Either way it's no hassle to us.

I'm going to have to get my act together tomorrow, I've finished school for 2 weeks now, so I've got some time to reel you back in.

On another note, I'm now a 'senior member'....I feel so old :sick:

lol casio!! well im enjoying this while it lasts!! coz surely u guyz will come back and kick my buttt next week :)

Had my first 30 min session with this car and track and come to the following conclusion:

270 gearing qualify tyres

Should have had a quicker car (M3GTR?) as midfield is such a fast course, however still good to drive, only managed these splits.

20.513
39.933

Yeah, I got mine used. Could well be the difference.

I'm going to get a sub 40 second T2 this week if it kills me. Closest I've got is a 40.138 but I ran wide again at the hairpin :(

New splits for me:

T1: 0'20.512
T2: 0'40.004

My T2-Finish was superb too, I've seen a few sub 40's at T2 but none could beat the lap above...this week certainly is about trimming time!

....see you got me by .001 at T1 there MisterWeary...!

This combo is fun! :D

Its amazing how much difference turning off tcs and asm makes to this car...

T1 20.806
T2 40.791

Im not going to have enough time for this one, damn it, always miss the best ones! :grumpy:

TOP GEAR RULES!! THE END 👍
Jeremy Clarkson funny bloke :)
Mark Webber was the "stig" (did u see his lap around the studio course that was pretty fast, on a wet track!!!)

~~~~ Jase
Yup!
Was a fantastic lap!
Did you see Deamon Hill's lap? That was faster!
Neil
yeah only because it was dry :P
Webber's lap was damp...
Clarkson gave him 3 seconds for the wet track!! :)
~~~~ Jase

have i seen the websites??? heheh :P
OF course i am!! top gear addict! i thing i hate about it though.. when they get to thrash the cars to pieces.. and thats soooo unfair! :D
I want their job!!!! Test cars for a living!!
New series should be starting in spring i think i heard.. not sure though

hOt6o4bOi
COULD IT BE?! :crazy:

Do you actually think that if I was a traipsin' around Yoorope testing F1 and driving the GP2 circuit that I'd find time to play in the DubbleYooAreEss?

Besides if I was, I MAY have a remote chance of beating hOt on a given event!

I know I should've begged the 'rents for a kart when I was a kid. My 5 year old will soon be getting his though. I can live through him.

-SHig (Scott Higashi)

Finally found time for this week's event.

T1: 20.758
T2: 40.413

Div 3 - DS2
280 km gearing

And that was with a Bundy 'n' Coke in my steering hand. I made a T2 of 40.0xx but stuffed it in to the wall at the hairpin. Aiming for a clean T2 of 39.9xx before I consider giving up on this one.
