20%-40% of the game is just that, but the rest is half arsed, standard cars, many tracks just GT4 ports in HD, Aspec just a pathetic shadow of the other GTs (bar the 1st game).
And even so the 1st was challenging in some parts. GT5's A-Spec really isn't.
Speaking of which, I still find GT1 to be the best. Mainly because, in my honest opinion, I can't find any flaws with it myself compared to the others (challenge is not always a flaw, since it tends to make it more fun). GT2 had a stupid race system, GT3 didn't have enough cars, GT4 was if anything almost too diverse and long to completely finish (and get the best challenge out of), and GT5 still has flaws all over the shelf (ie disorganised A-Spec, odd Standard get system and the track-creator-but-not-a-track-'creator').
