They fixed all the issues with the preorder placeholder shortly after I called in and the customer rep was like "oh!, ya we're gonna fix that now"

You guys in US can order at ur local gamestop, in Canada, EBgames (gamestop.ca) has yet to even announce any pre orders for this collector's edition

Can you post a link or a product # please?

I've gone through the search on amazon.com as well as the racing section under PS3 but all that shows up is the normal edition.

I even did a search before when you posted that there were two versions, the sign-up to be notified and the real pre-order. In my search only the sign up to be notified was showing.

I live in the UK amazon want $160 to send it to me and that is on the cheapest of shipping options which will take a week to ten days from experience. If you want priority mail then add another $20-$30 to the above taking the item to near enough $200 dollars. .... oh no wait the skullduggery doesnt end there.

Once your item arrives in the uk , the demonic spawn that call themselves "Customs" will slap on a big fat 17.5% Vat bill in sterling on the total , yes TOTAL value of your order including shipping and handling. Taking the whole thing to well over $230 which makes it uneconomically viable to import in my most humble opinion. Especially if current trends continue as the pound is real weak against the dollar making any import costly. Unless of course your rich.

I sincerely doubt Europe will get a special edition , i hope im wrong ... i guess ill have to plump for the regular :-( ....ah well theres one more special edition on the shelf then !

So Amazon.com is quoting $12.00USD maximum for getting the CE into Canada. A lot better than driving across the border IMO. Still not sure if it's worth it, if Amazon.ca carries it for $100 I would be looking at probably around $110ish. $20 isn't a big deal but Amazon.ca would be a lot faster too.

Some of it is location. Amazon has a warehouse in Lexington, KY so with most of my media items, like books, movies, or music, I can get it all within a few days. But if it is something that is only kept in one of their other facilities then it takes some extra time. Most of my stuff goes out from their Lexington facility, goes to the USPS shipping hub in Cincinnati in one day and is on its way to my town usually on the second day. Whether I get it on that day or the next depends on my local post office and when it gets in from Cincinnati.

You being in Tennessee, might have to wait for your package to go to a different USPS hub.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but have any details of the Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition been released. So far all I heard is that it will have a super exlcusive coffee table book, a GT-branded flash drive, and a bunch of bonus DLC. Anything besides this?

I also heard that the Top Gear track will either be paid DLC or as free DLC with the collector's editions. Even though I'll be buying the Collector's or Signature Edition, this sucks. Everyone should get the TG test track

i also looked at it. i would be shocked if the CE is not distributed in the biggest market for GT.
I also think the official announcement is made at gamescon. Even thinking going up to Köln. IF it is US only, well need to think about it strongly.

Dunno what to tell you. From big boxes with vacuums or bikes or pots and pans, to small packages of games, blank media, or books. It's always here before the amazon listed ship date and 95% of the time withing 3 days. I guess I'm lucky, or was cause now I probably jinxed myself.

Well, it's only a 20 min drive for me to my shipping depot in Washington from Richmond, BC. and I can fill up with gas down there too

Not to mention usually if its items 100 bucks or under they don't bother to tax you. In addition, any courier will charge you quite a hefty brokerage for bringing stuff across border.

This is the first time hearing of a flash drive, so I'm going to assume that's incorrect.

Also the first time hearing of the Top Gear Track being DLC at all. I smell fish on this one since they haven't even announced whether or not GT5 will have DLC. Yamauchi-san has stated that he will not release an "in-complete" game. Besides, with the sheer amount of detail that goes into their tracks, I would imagine Downloading them is out of the question strictly for the time it would take and the space it would use.

as of today the price is $118 so its gone up 8 buks!!
What The heck is up with that??? thats the most expensive game in the PS3 history am I right?

I think its the basic normal copy, I would hate to see the price of the collector's edition, But I was lucky to pre-order it before the price rise, I wonder if they will make me pay for the rise.
