Anyone know where to get the other 3 stealth cars below?:

Mazda 787B - ?
Audi R10 TDI - ?
Honda NSX GT500 - ?

Here's what's confirmed so far:
Merc SLS AMG - Amazon.com
Nissan GT-R GT500 - Best Buy
McLaren F1 - Gamestop

the nsx i believe is at walmart, but you have to preorder the CE

Stealth cars. CE from amazon cause no tax and same day delivery. Gamestop and best buy are standards just to get the SLS and GTR stealth cars. No other reason. Just an impulse thing.

i like the way you think because i too will try to get as much stealth cars possible

Ok... what if its restricted and you're only allowed to download one Stealth car through PSN? I'm also thinkin about heading to Best Buy and Gamestop, but im unsure. Do you get full refunds when you return games?

I assume you'll have to open the package to get the code for the chromeline cars and I might be mistaken but Gamestop usually has crazy rules when it comes to returns and I doubt you would get a full refund.

Well in that case, ill go to plan B.

Pre-order
Get code
DL car
Sell sealed game on eBay (if code is on receipt, not inside the box) :D

Demand will be high on Release day so supply will be lacking, thus will mark up the price a bit online.

:D

at best buy, yes (just give them a reasonable reason, if you opened it, why youre returning it) at gamstop, yes only if its unopened.. but if its opened youll have to sell it to them for way below value

Truth. That is the good thing about Best Buy though. They will take anything back.

I see. Well, tomorrow ill go to both GS and BB and pre-order standard copies (Already pre-oredered CE on Amazon)... ahhh, what a greedy **** i am :D hopefully all goes well come release day and no "FFFUUUUUUUU" will be shed :)

Gamestop's cheap. My friend bought DJ hero and tried to trade it in. I believe he got $20 for it and it was in 'like new' shape...

It's true, we are happy to pay inflated prices so guess what? is it fair? To be honest, I don't really concern myself over it because there is more to life than the cost of a few items relative to their cost in other countries. I don't live in the US, nor do I have the desire to. Here in the UK I live a happy, comfortable life with my wife and daughter. You cannot put a price on that.

Yes sir, you cannot... I wouldn't move to the US, nope, UK is my home and I'm happy with it, I have everything I need right here:tup:

And a performance boost unless I've completely lost track of what's what.
True, although that hasn't been a major concern for me, as I got the CE for the stuff in the box, not in-game assets.

I do not think the DLC cars are contained on the disc. I believe the chromeline and stealth cars are downloaded and both will probably be released at a later date on the PSN for everyone in packs.
Because I happened to have my PSP with me at work I looked at the unlock file for my GT PSP cars. I have downloaded two, one for the preorder cars and one for the special red SLR McLaren. The total file size is 224KB. My guess is that is not big enough to represent six in-game car assets, but is just about right for an encrypted code that tells the game to make those cars available to me from assets already on-disc.

I also suspect they are on-disc because when playing multiplayer even people who never downloaded the file for those cars can still see them in their game. That differs from Forza, which shows you a blatantly ugly car when someone uses a car you didn't download.

All evidence leans heavily toward GT PSP having all cars on disc already. It isn't 100%, but if accurate then it is a sign that Polyphony Digital prefers to handle bonus assets in this way.

I haven't run across a game that did this. I got both God of War and Heavenly Sword preorder DLC bonuses in LBP.

EDIT: Thinking about it, why would they purposely prevent you from ordering more than one copy? even if you are just hunting down DLC codes and returning them your extra preorders still helped boost their launch day sales numbers.

thats how they make money. i think of gamestop like a car dealership, as soon as you bring the game home, the price depreciates 60%!

you could download all the stealth cars if you had the codes for all of them.

No, the codes will be printed on your receipt, most likely, or they'll give you a card with it on. You don;t have to open the game up anywhere for the stealth cars.

That's bad news about the DLC then. :(

WHat is?

It's bad news if they turn out to be on the disc already. I know they are free (well not really the chromeline cars because you have to purchase the CE to get them) but I don't think the stealth cars should be included on the disc and only certain people get certain cars.

I still believe they will all be released at a later date as car packs on the PSN though.

hopefully! because i really dont want to preorder the same game at all different retailers anymore.. i was thinking about doing that, but going to the store and returning them all will take up a lot of my time..

You would rather not be able to see someone's Stealth R10 TDI when racing them online?

But that has nothing to do with DLC.
If the stealth cars become available later like the PSP bonuses. Stealth cars wouldn't be the only DLC cars anyway so why does it matter?

Aren't the stealth car DLC just unlocking codes so you can get them without having to buy them in-game?
I think they are much like the black race cars of GT4.

One of the Chromeline cars appears to be an M3 with a spoiler. Does anyone know if it is just a standard M3 with a spoiler or something else?

Yes, modified regular M3. All the chromline and stealth cars are just normal cars modified by PD. We just don't know if the paint is the only unique thing about them. We don;t know if the power/handling modifications are just your standard upgrades or if hey also are unique to these cars.
