Is it me or is the US CE suck after seeing what comes with the UK CE edition? I would like the coffee table book as well. Guess I will have to buy the UK CE as soon I get the chance to do so.
Using the current exchange rate, 180 Euros = 240~ US$ for the signature edition
So, we North Americans are actually quite lucky to get a model car and APEX book for $100, where as Europe's CE is just a few cards and the APEX book for around the same price.
I have a question for those of you who already have your hands on a copy of the CE. I don't live too far from the gamestop where I preordered the game. I try to use my bicycle to go everywhere because it is so much easier than trying to find a parking place in the city. How big is the box? Would I be able to cram it into my backpack? Would it be better to just walk and carry it back? My real car is staying at uhh.... GT auto... for a while, so I can't drive, haha.

Take 5 dvds and stack them on top of one another....thats how big the GT5 CE box is. Also...add about half an inch to the top and bottom of that stack and there you go.
Damn it.. My order is being delayed... Maybe Gamestop got the shipping wrong....

Got my collectors edition yesterday. I have one complaint, the font size in the Apex book is way to small. I have problem reading without holding the book up to my face.

Alright, Collector's Edition No. 12358 is installing now. I got it at midnight here in Midwest City, OK
To maybe answer some concerns. The 1.01 update downloaded first before the game installed on the HDD. It took about a few minutes. The game data is taking 30 minutes.
Apex book is REALLY value-added considering the amount of work that went into it, and the fact that it's exclusive to GT5:CE....
So if it wont ever go on sale stand-alone, that kinda forces me to buy the CE. so $50 extra for Apex book (other items are worthless to me)......it's kinda difficult to drop that kind of cash...

I have the CE pre-ordered and i could give two bits about the book, I was looking forward to the car, and the authenticity. But then I saw the Box Opening, the car is as small as a Hot Wheels, and the Authenticity numbering goes into the high ten thousands, so I am having second thoughts. Now if it was limited to 10K or something, I wouldn't mind, but not very limited.
I got my CE at Saturn in Cologne,Germany.
There's a voucher in the box to get access to the 5 extra cars, but my code wasn't working yesterday evening. It says it can be used untill 12.31.2012. So maybe it will be activated today. Anyone facing the same problem so far ?
I got the CE edition I had pre-ordered from Amazon one day early. It doesn't come with the GTR model or keychain. It costs £23 more than the standard edition and all I get extra is a crappy book and 5 downloadable cars which I couldn't care less about. What a waste of money. I havn't opened it yet so I may return it and just buy the standard edition. My G25 stopped working earlier this week so i'm in a bad mood about the whole GT5 thing!
