Got a Bulletin today regarding the Signiture Edition where I work (Gamestation) I've got details regarding the Competition for the Signiture Edition, I need to double check with my Manager if it's okay to post details about the Competition but once i've got the heads up tomorrow I shall post back within this thread

Popped my £10 Deposit down. We're hoping to do a Midnight Launch for it but who knows weither or not the company will do it or not is another question! Nice discount & Early release will certainly benefit me for this though!

I will ask the eb staff ,in Auckland city, tomorrow if they know the price of the "Signature Edition".

Only know the price of the CE, which is $139.99 .

Also wanting a small 22" or 26" LCD screen for my small bedroom. Maybe buying a "Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Racing Wheel" for GT5, cause thats the only cheapest racing/driving wheel here in NZ so far.

*update: just pre-ordered the standard edition, will have to exchange this for the Collectors edition instead.

The guy in my local games shop said there was a driving tips book (Apex) and a 2nd book that listed and photographed all the cars in GT5 (It doesn't look 300 - 500 pages long to me?). I don't know how he knew, but that's what he said.

Yeah, one book will have all the cars and all tracks with tips and tricks, i hope that the book shows all the info and specs of all cars plus the secret cars.

Paid for my signature edition in full today from EB Games - $300 AUS! I never get SE's, and I figure this is the one to get, especially if I have a small chance of winning an SLS haha, as if though.

AND he reckoned Nov 11, which is a thursday so seems to fit with the usual release day of the week.

I heard from a colleague who's in charge of an online store that in Germany the law states something about getting permission to charge a credit card to expire after 60 days. As I understood him, if he offers something as a pre-order but won't be able to deliver any goods in 60 days, he has to ask permission again to charge the credit card once the good is available.

If that's the case then that might be the reason why the game isn't on pre-order, yet, at amazon.de.

I don't know about that, but you can order without having a credit card.
You just give them permission to withdraw from your bank account.

I will be happy with just the collectors edition.£60 is justifiable and it will come with the game and book which is all I'm interested in. If I get extra chrome or stealth cars then that would be a bonus.

On a separate note, some people need to calm down, interior views, trees, collectors edition, signature edition, horns, reverse lights, track editors, and so on and do on. It's a game at the end of the day,some people act like they have just spent £100,000 on it.

I did my preorder of the collectors edition last week before eb games (in Australia) even knew if they were going to get it. And now that I know the price I will pay I'm a bit happier. EB still hasn't put up what rewards a preorder of the collectors edition will get (the stealth cars)

I'm sure all the sites (game, play, amazon etc) will all have roughly the same stock (standard game, collectors ed and/or signature ed), just wait a while so they can sort their situation out (what stealth cars available) then make your decision. They will all be there or thereabouts.

I'll keep my pre-order for the CE for now, and hope they offer a G27/GT5 Edition...

Yeah, ours would be 4 times too if we didn't get charged so much for the normal game retail price, thats why CE is only $10 more for us.

Well however tempting the Signature Edition is, i will honestly be buying the Standard Edition, then the money i save from the Signature Edition
will go towards a Logitech G27 wheel. 👍

right just to make things clear, both play.com and amazon can only give you the stealth cars on the normal edition, they cannot give them to you on the collectors edition

Just standard for me. £150 is too expensive for stuff which IMO are junk. I already have USB drives, a wallet and key rings. The apex boox is nice but £20 is too much unless it's crammed with great driving techniques and not just in game setups and basic racing lines. I don't want to gamble £20 on it. Game prices are dropping quickly recently, so that can easily get another game. I anger F1 for £31
