I was hoping to pre-order the Signature Edition, but £150? Even for GT, that's far too much to pay. I'll probably pre-order the £60 Collectors edition now, which has enough 'goodies' to satisfy my loyalty as a GT fan. I can't wait for November, GT5 is going to be epic! :drool:
 
The most bang for your buck is the normal version.

I'm sure the key fob is the same as the forza one.
Anyone getting the fob could you please try rubbing it to see if it says forza underneath.

right just to make things clear, both play.com and amazon can only give you the stealth cars on the normal edition, they cannot give them to you on the collectors edition

I've pre ordered the ce from amazon UK.
I suppose that means no stealth cars yet for me.

Certainly is expensive and I would suggest that if members do not own a steering wheel they would be better off getting the normal version and using the money saved to buy a wheel.

Having said this I fully understand Sony/PD marketing tactics here. Looking at previous sales of GT games you can see why their going to try and make as much money as possible. Im surprised the normal version is £39 because even if it had been £59 I would of paid. Speaking of which im really beginning to think I would be better off getting the normal version compared to the CE especially as the CE doesn't contain the stealth cars.

I agree with you on the wheel part. If you don't have one, get one and just buy the standard edition. 👍 I have money to spare so I'm getting the CE plus a G27, as well as a wheelstand pro and nice chair, or else I would of imported the Signature edition.

I've decided to buy the wheelstand pro for my G25.

I wonder if the stealth cars will be available to download from PSN at a later date. If so I would get the CE.

I was looking at the pre-order bonus on Play.com and I found this little quote:

"Cars may be made available as DLC through PSN at a later date. Codes will be emailed the week of release. Pre-order offers are subject to change at any time."

Meaning we might be able to download ALL cars on a later date?

Not worth $300.. never will be. Waste of money in my opinion. Might as well just get the Normal version. I will.

Chin up mate. I've had 3 years to save for a $300 edition of GT5 and that's what I'll be getting as well as a G27 and a VT Calais seat from a wrecker which I'll use in my rig build.

💡 Plan ahead.

The CE gets the apex book. SE gets the leather bound book and all other goodies.
My question is.
Is the apex book the one with all the info and writing.
Is the leather book just pictures.

Sorry to be a pain does anyone know the exact content of each book.

Sorry mate, I'm getting the CE which only has the apex book.
I was wondering what I was missing out on with the other book.
The Apex is described as a magazine, the pictures seem to suggest a hardback book.

Confusing as allways eh.

Oh right sorry, I had a brain fade :dunce:


The Apex book gives instructions on how to drive and how to fiddle with car setup. The other book (I'm not 100% sure) is photographs of the cars in GT5.

I have made my mind up, I'm going to by the collectors edition from play.com as I have just found £20 :)

Hey that's an idea.. I could built a rig. You've given me an idea now. But I wont be doing that for quite a while, I probably might do that though. :D I'd rather an SS seat personally but hell yeah!

Got to spend money on my real life car yet :lol:
