maybe someone else should post a new topic to see who else got this email? I cant post a new topic yet or I would:(. Feel free to add my images up and if you guys have any of your own.. would be good to know wtf is going on?
 
Not suprised, most games release on the Friday in the UK as you guys probably know.
 
I have also received this email. GAME's website also suggests that the release date for the standard edition is also the 5th. Are they just anticipating the worst?
 
Damn man, they changed it twice in 2 days. Where are they getting their information from? I just hope it stays at the 3rd of November or is brought back to the 2nd.

Right that's it, i'm getting my copy from Grainger Games.

I've already decided against the signature edition, why on earth should I get it from Game/Gamestation if they're pushing back the release?

I could get it from Amazon...

Forgive me for not searching, but does anyone know if any of the UK retailers give the pre-order stealth cars for the standard edition? I know various US retailers do, I know the SE has all the stealth cars, I know you get the Chromeline cars with the CE (Aswell as the SE), but I don't know how or which stealth cars you get without buying the SE.

Can anyone help?

EDIT: I know Amazon.co.uk are offering 2 Stealth cars with a pre-order, but it doesn't say which ones. Any idea?

Just recieved the email for the signature edition delay. If this is the case I will be cancelling and getting the collector from amazon. I don't see why we should pay more and have to wait longer to play.
 
i'm pretty sure that a change of release date is nationwide rather than just Game stores...
that is if there even is a delay
 
Well folks I've emailed Game UK so if I get a reply I'll post back here and let you know! I've heard the rumour before that the uk likes to release games on a Friday not a Wednesday and never had it effect me but this seems like the game wont be out until the Friday.. again all speculation until I hear back! p.s I pre-booked on-line!
 
Wait a few more days. If Amazon and various other chain stores follow suit, then it is indeed nationwide. if not, i can see pretty much all non-SE edition customers going elsewhere (Unless they already paid for a pre-order, in which case they'll have got screwed over).

It might only be for the Signature Edition, because they're in a large box and it's more difficult to distribute maybe?
 
This pissed me of putting out as much cash as some of us are and then this, here in sweden they also state 5th as release date on all versions, i just don´t get how it changed in 1 damn day as sony themselfs just gave us the 3rd in gamescom.

Anyone know where we could get official sony confirmation on the actual date cause if this is somthing the retailers choose to do just for the sake of it i´ve bought my last game from them ever.
 
Amazon say the 3rd for me. CE though.

It's only 2 days later though and your getting a wallet a keyfob and everything.
 
I preordered instore (SE). I'll just bug them that whole week till they hand it to me. I never got an email or text saying of a date change though but it has changed on their site.
 
An important FYI most EB games and Gamestops are starting to stop taking pre-orders for the US collectors edition of GT5. I went into a store today to reserve my copy and they said they were only doing 4 more and many other stores have already stopped. So if you want to be guaranteed to get a copy and have not pre-ordered go over NOW!

I wish the Gamestop I work at had more people that cared about GT5. If it doesn't have Halo or Call of Duty on it then it doesn't get a lot of reserves. Only a small amount of car guys come to my store.

At least you know what system GT5 is for, I went in today because the woman working put me down for the standard edition when I specifically pre-ordered the CE last month, so I came in to fix that, filled with anticipation to find out if i will even be able to get a CE after so much longer.. only to be asked "on 360?" :dunce:

I saw Amazon is giving away the Carbon Mercedez. Gamestop is giving away a gamestop Carbon stock car (Joey Lagano) and the Carbon McClaren. Does anyone know what Best Buy and other stores will be giving away for ordering from them? I thought with the CE edition we got all those carbon cars?

As far as i can tell, only Gamestop and Amazon are offering them. :indiff:

The UK site lists which cars are for which retailers, why hasn't anything similar been posting on the .us site?
 
Nice got a mail today that my preorder for the SE and standard edition has changed date from the 5th to the 3rd so i´m happy again. :)

Now where is that time machine damnit!? ;)

Mine does too but on sites like that I usually allow scripts to run.

My guess would be Toys R Us gets the 787b.
