I'm not sure if you're being serious, but I was joking. I said that's what new threads were going to be once it comes out.
I missed the joke, my bad. There have been so many unfounded complaints already about the upcoming demo. :guilty:

Since the release of this information there hasn't been much news at all, looks like Polyphony Digital is back to their good old ways. All work and not a minute to talk. :)

Would Kaz be able to implement something as a Storefront by the release date??!!
I'm not sure Kaz is such a perfectionist and demanding that Polyphony do everything in-house. They don't produce the Blu-ray cases or manuals after all.

It is a little tricky to design an online structure to handle racing, lobbies, stat tracking, and e-game commerce and trading. But it's not that hard, it's been in online gaming for a decade now, and SONY has created an environment where developers freely share info. So even if they don't farm out the online coding and do it themselves, if they hit snags, SONY has a number of partners who can work on this.

And for all the livery guys among us, yes, there really needs to be a livery editor of some kind. Online clubs and racing teams without custom liveries will be a major sore point with gamers.

I guess i missed that joke from HappyCorey too ...

My bad for not reading the first page either... until now, where i find this:

This has the same levels of mystery as Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

A tour round the chocolate factory that NO ONE GOES IN OR OUT OF. You'll see mysterious things - things that cannot be unseen. But you'll have to find the golden ticket lap time to get in.

👍 it's so true ! LOL

Well I think it's what happened around the time the Demo was told it was going to be released. Threads about "What will PD give us for Christmas?" and we were left in the dark with nothing. I think that people will absolutely TEAR APART the demo for every thing it's worth for a couple weeks with all new speculation, and PD might throw a demo video in the demo somewhere.. Who knows. They might eventually add to the demo too, so you never know what or when they might give us information.. No one saw the demo coming, and as much as we think we have PD figured out, they surprise us with stuff that we didn't even know they had or could be doing. Never underestimate them.

It has been one week. What did you want them to do in that time?

Actually, in that time we have had an interview with the GT Academy winner from last year and a Kotaku story about being shown a demo and having the head tracking explained to them.

That right there is two more items than we get in an average week.

I don't know if this has been covered in this thread yet but do we need to make an European account to download the demo?
No, the US PlayStation Blog announced we were getting it too.

Speaking of a video, you guys think they will have a new intro video to go along with it?

I like your thinking, I hope so.

Well, I really doubt they release a 'demo' without an intro. That would be weird. Here's your car and go...

And it would be lame to re-use an old one.

Upon further reflection, the un-released press video would work...It's already made & it's new to the general public.*

*Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do remember reading about this, right?

Damn, I can't wait to wake up the day of the 17th with the GTP forums BLOWING UP with all sorts of ZOMG and confirmed info about said new intro.

But it would be even more humorous if they used all Prologue cars and all Prologue tracks for the intro video hahahaha

Samara says: "seven days..."

Not sure...
I'd love to see the damn "top secret trailer", the spanish journalists saw it like 2 months ago...
BRING IT ON!

ahhhh, that`s a good point. I`m planning on holding out on the demo, but if it has a new trailer attached, I can`t resist.

According to a comment left on the GT Academy facebook page, the circuit of the time trial will be announced on the 17th and they have just reconfirmed that it will be a brand new circuit

Yeah, the same day the demo is download-able.

Most likely different times depending on if you are in EU or NA, since their respective stores update at different times every week. Or in general they'll be available at the regular store update for your region.

PSN in the U.S.A usually updates around 6PM eastern time.

Gran Turismo PSP showed up in US Playstation Store at 12:01 AM on the day of the release. I downloaded it and was playing it by 12:15 AM Thursday morning on Oct 2nd. I would guess the demo will show up around the same time. I'll be entering and exiting the PSN store until it shows up.

Fun stuff.

Its pretty much 6 days now... I think I'm going a lil desperate waiting on this demo. All I really want is just another car and track to drift/race, that's it

It'll be the longest week of my life:scared:
...6 days, whatever...
No, wait, we dont even know if it will dowload and install fast. Count 7 days, period.
