Livery editor has been in there since the early days, so no need to speculate. Just because they haven't shown it doesn't mean its not there or they haven't been working on it.

Since early days they only talk about TEAM and CLUB builder where all the fanatics can meet up on particular car brand or team.. I wonder if that is true and in development, because they never talk about it after first GT5Prologue DEMO version.

Speaking of Liveries. I still think that they will include the ability to import photographs from your PS3 and apply them to your car.

Either that or through the PSEye, like Little Big Planet.

You can quote me on that :)

Considering that "Polyphony Digital has actually expanded to a second studio down the street from their headquarters, which is completely dedicated to writing the online code for the game" i think it is in development.

Most of the list is just offline elements taken online, drifting, time challenges, garage, B-spec, Head to Head, Lisence, Tuning setting features, tests i think they have been hard on work on those features. Considering the list was over a year ago I believe most of it is done.

I really agree with most people that the main reason for the delay was damage, with an anticipated December release i doubt three months would have given them time to implement weather, numerous online features, a livery editor and damage.

Who knows.

I was thinking last night how the Demo could possibly be a little bigger than we think. The time trial contest for GT Academy could be just one part of it. Maybe a quick-race section with a few more cars? :sly:

I think they may add stuff to the demo over time (and after the GT Academy) or maybe not, since you can only download it until like the 25th of January or something. But they may add on to the demo

what delay ? I only saw one date. march for japan, eu and us are yet unknown..

delay - the act of delaying; inactivity resulting in something being put off until a later time

Delay would suggest there being an original date, and then being postponed to a later date. So since there was no original date... no delay...

Without out a date in the first place, it hasn't been put off until a later time, it's still on track for its scheduled release.

without out a date there is nothing for it to be put off from, so there has to be an end time scheduled.

I don't see in that definition where it says it needed a date set in stone.

In this case, you really need a missed deadline to affirm it was delayed. You can say that maybe there was an 'internal delay' or 'they were planning to release it this year' or something of the sort but a delay, nope, I'm sorry.

Considering that even our much loved Jordan was shown internal documents given to SCE America that stated unequivocally that GT5 was definitely being released before Christmas, and possibly even before December, yes, you could say it was delayed.

I still think that the main culprit was GTPSP, because Kaz always said that GT5 was his main focus, and GT Mobile would be out after that, and kept to that until E3. And at E3, he actually looked rather upset when he gave his GTPSP presentation. I hate to think that we could have been playing GT5 for some time, because GTP had to have at least a solid year of work, and probably more, to squeeze something even bigger than GT4 with new physics and sound onto the PSP Go.

Haven't had time to scroll through the whole thread so apologies if this has already been brought up - does anyone know what wheels will be supported in the demo?

/\ Don't believe there's been any mention of what wheels will/won't work, but since just about all wheels have always worked, I'm sure our G25's are okay.

Jerome

^^ I believe all the ones that are compatible with GT5P. Also, maybe the G27's paddles will be working. Fingers crossed

Even if true, that wouldn't be a delay, just a change of plans. To have an actual delay we need an actual date. Or maybe I'm being pedantic.

In the video of Kaz playing the 'ring is a poster guide of the G27 stuck next to his computer, so they have obviously been setting it up for GT5.

I wonder why Kaz doesn't use G25 to play GT5? I mean other than the real time adjuster, the DFGT is inferior to the G25.

If you look closely to the floor in the Nurburgring demo you can see the G25 box sitting to the left, They probably do use the G25 when testing but not when they know the PR team is coming by

yeah, that makes sense.
I see it now, there's a Logitech G27 behind the computer desk.

You're right. We hope that they keep their promises.;)
But, how could works a B-spec race online?
And the "Race builder Tool" should be the famous Track Editor?

I think a Race Builder Tool refers to simply setting up a race based on user choices, like picking the cars that can enter, the track, the laps, and the rules.

Even NFS Shift has a "team racing" aspect to it now. EU got the patch last week, US is coming soon.

I have NO playtime...I'm a Law student at the university of Leiden (holland) and I have no less than 4 exams! One on the 18th and 3 after christmass...so...thats that for me:guilty:

Once you dowload the demo it will be playable until the game ships right? And you can dowload it from the 17th untill the 5 of Januari or something right?

Underneath the desk there's also a g25/g27 box.
EDIT: Already said by others, need to read first...
