According to the official PlayStation twitter was given the following information:

"Update: GT5 DLC will hit the North American Store on 10/25 but will include a special bonus. Apologies for the inconvenience!"

It is sad that we have to wait another week to get "hands" in the DLC's GT5, but then we can expect a special bonus.

I'm very pissed off about this delay, I'm incline to say that it is a marketting thing. Don't realy care about the bonus for this, it's a great deception and it should be fixed not delayed

Exactly, but unfortunately it's easier to blame PD for most people because they assume it was their fault. I don't think PD had anything to do with it. Once they complete the DLC, they hand it over to Sony and that's it. We all have the DLC on our systems right now anyway, it's just a matter of unlocking it.

You need the unlock codes from the PS Store.....so it's Sony's issue.

Reading Kaz's Twitter and he didn't know that there was a DLC delay in North America. So, SCEA screwed up, and the "surprise" won't be a new track, car or gear probably. PD didn't know about it, so how could they whip up new content in a week. They didn't expect this and they are not at fault. PD doesn't have to make up for this damn mess.

Maybe stealth models or chrome lines, but these two won't make up for the screw up. SCEA needs to make up a "surprise" humble enough to satisfy everyone. Its enough surprise that the DLC was delayed in itself. And the "surprise" they are proposing better not be another disappointing surprise.

SCEA is the root problem here. If it were known to PD the announcement last week would have also included the PSN locked account for the DLC in there. PSN is changing policies and informing nobody. I didn't see it in the last TOS (and yes, I read it).

Having driven Spa for about ~60 laps last night in various cars, I can say the track pack is more than worth it. 👍

I guess what made me upset was that yesterday was a pretty tough day, and I wanted to unwind and was looking forward to the DLC to just chill and enjoy it. It's like leaving work on a friday only for your boss to ask you to work on Saturday and Sunday just before you leave.

But anyway, back to topic. I think someone talked about sending painted cars to dupe paint, here is what happens:

If I send a car painted in DLC color, backup, will that make paint infinite? ※Not sending the paint itself (impossible), so paint, send car, back up and keep the paint

According to threads, cars gifted with DLC colors change color to the original paint when the car was bought when you receive it

I'd be less upset if:
1.) They'd release it. How can you delay something already in my living room? Please, Soony, take my money!
2.) The whole 1 paint chip per purchase is poor. If we got duplicates through races and login bonuses though, that would make up for it.
3.) The ID lock thing is poor. Even EA, the greediest company in my opinion, is better with DLC then PD is being right now. What's wrong with the old way of doing things?

Its not PD though, it is Sony. Kaz even stated that he was not aware of the ID lock and he was trying to think of a way to fix it. I'm more annoyed that I have seen no notice of a change of policy for DLC in any PS3 game. I looked at the last TOS and I couldn't find anything regarding the ID lock.

Two years ago, I made the conscious decision to buy a PS3 and not an X Box JUST BECAUSE of GT5. Been playing since the first one. Thanks, PD for making me feel like an idiot all the time for that decision. Thanks for showing time and again that you are an organization that actively HATES your customers, and that you are willing to go out of your way to treat us like S^%T. You are the perfect match for Sony.

Sad when Microsoft is a more attractive option as far as being treated right.

Me too! I bought the PS3/GT5 bundle solely to play this game and feel like the biggest sucker ever after the way Sony/PD/WhateverDBAnametheyareusingthistime has treated me when I do have a problem. Just proves to me, that the dollar is the only concern they have and they will crap on us just as long as we continue to send money their way. So yeah, the next gen x-box WILL be my choice in the future. Not playing the one-way relationship game any longer.
