GT5 DLC will hit the North American Store on 10/25

I've been running in a Spa room for the last few hours. Got lots of laps in and have the track completely memorized. I'm getting ready to leave while the track is in a downpour and has 100% saturation of the track. Needless to say it's a bit hairy out there. :lol:

Ha! Had to leave shortly after from that room myself, it's impossible not to spin when the whole track is drenched.

I would have changed it, but it wouldn't let me. Was cool how it was sunny for so long though, slowly got cloudy, then eventually started raining. I like the lighting on the weather/time tracks better, much more realistic. 👍
 
Kart space is pretty crazy looks like all 4 karts can compete with each other

That is the funny part, I mean what else is new? We've already waited for this delayed game to come out.

For what its worth, the only Skyline I would ever be excited about to be released would be the Z-tune.

Its actually ridiculous how long PD took to come up with DLC. :yuck:

Agreed, loved the gradual transition into the rain. Looking forward to some real racing on that track come next week.
 
It seems the DLC is now available in most Europe and PAL territories. Can someone confirm?

I will be racing in open lobbies a lot this week that feature Spa. Yeah it still sucks the dlc is delayed for NA but remember we can still race on it online in random open lobbies or if someone from our friends list has the track.
 
This smells to me like a somewhat cynical business decision by Sony(PD not involved) to avoid losing sales, as they may be afraid we won't be in the mood to boot up a racing game here in NA after what happened in Las Vegas Sunday.

So wait a week for us to not be so preoccupied with the accident.

If they want to release tribute content, they could release it as soon as it is available, why not let us use what is already downloaded on our PS3s????

Well this way it will guarantee we all get the tribute content.
 
Who said anything about tribute content, a delay cos of the IndyCar incident or any cynical business decision?!

Sony have said "special bonus". Not content.

Also, why would it be only America that's "pre-occupied" with the accident?? The whole motorsport world is angry and upset because of what happened... not just America you know.
 
Yeah that and Wheldon was never affiliated with GT5 like Vettel, Gordon, and Loeb. Doesn't make sense that PD would release the dlc a week later in NA than in the rest of the world because of what happened to Wheldon. RIP DW

Most are guessing the content will be tribute.

But since there is an information vacuum, people are filling it with speculation, as I did in my post. It could be wrong.
 
It's going to be GT Academy related.
It's not rocket science here people.
This is the american marketing branch, of course they are going to use it.

Sony said, "special bonus" because of the last minute delay. It will be something very small, and it won't be something that the other territories can't get their hands on already.

And look at what's happened over the last 3 years because of endless, constant speculation. GT5 wasn't the game people were expecting, and therefore have constantly ripped it apart since, because "their speculations" didn't actually arrive in the game, and were never going too.

The problem is when people start making speculations, other people then jump on board and spread it everywhere as fact, or rumour, or a bit of both. Then people start expecting this stuff to actually happen. It's crazy.

edit: ^ (Post above) See my point!? "It's going to be GT Academy related." No it isn't, that's your opinion.
 
Are the DLC cars tradeable? Because if so, I would definitely love to drive the Prius touring car.
 
@ZDUPH - I guess they could be tradeable, once you buy the unlock codes from the store.

Anyone tried this yet?

If you wanted more than one of the cars, paints, gears etc... would you then have to buy them a second time round?

Well that's just perfect. I am out of town next week on business, and I was already ticked off that I would lose half of my reward potential upon my return and have to just log in and not race for five days to build it back up.

But now, I will not be able to download anything for TWO weeks because of my schedule. All so PD can throw in some stupid little bonus. And the rest of the world gets it now.

Two years ago, I made the conscious decision to buy a PS3 and not an X Box JUST BECAUSE of GT5. Been playing since the first one. Thanks, PD for making me feel like an idiot all the time for that decision. Thanks for showing time and again that you are an organization that actively HATES your customers, and that you are willing to go out of your way to treat us like S^%T. You are the perfect match for Sony.

Sad when Microsoft is a more attractive option as far as being treated right.
 
I think most people wouldn't be pissed off as much if it wasn't Just US delay. But it's kinda a kick in the balls to have to wait another week, hope the world doesn't end, and finnaly get it, a solid week after being teased by every other GTP member.
