Maybe the Lvl.0 events are accessible from jump, where as the others you need to "level up" (rpg style) in order to prove you got what it takes to school with Gordon and Loeb (and possibly Vettel.)

Yeah you probably have to prove how good at crashing into people you are to go challenge Vetool :sly:

What is that car???

EDIT:
Sorry, I ment the car pic Touring Mars put up!
Can someone fill me in? I mean, what is it??? Is it a Premium?

VW van is the top one
Bottom one is a Kubelwagen ( i think thats the correct spelling ) both are premium :)

I'm pretty sure this is the first racing simulation (or even racing game overall) which has the VW T1, Kübelwagen and Schwimmwagen. Actually I don't know any Game which has one of these cars playable at all.

Simply stunning!! :)👍

if those were standard race cars, they wouldnt come in so many colors. i bet its basically a regular citreon gt gone through the race modification icon

Not necessarily, I remember in GT4 there was a LM Camaro race car that came in multiple colors.

OK, Thanks DestinyDanny for filling me in,
but what was the Kubelwagen made for?
Was it an Army Jeep-like truck? Who was it made by?

The Kubelwagen was an offroad vehicle based on the Beetle chassis and drive-train, designed by Ferdinand Porsche for the German Wehrmacht. Captured examples by Allied forces in North Africa proved that the vehicle was faster, lighter, simpler, and easier to maintain and manufacture than the Willy's Jeep. In addition, with portal hub reduction and a completely flat underbody, it could simply slide over logs, rocks and and deep snow where more conventional offroad vehicles of the time would normally get stuck. The air-cooled flat 4 engine also meant the car was more impervious to bullets, and was very reliable in a variety of weather conditions.

It's an awesome piece of automotive history. 👍

The fact that the Kübelwagen was used by the nazis gives me the creeps. I will stay away from it as much as I can.

It's kinda funny Kaz would include it though. I wonder if there is some kind of off-road (and water? ) course we can use these on.

Wow, Thanks Grand Prix!👍
But I all so do agree with hardvibes, the
Kübelwagen allso gives me the creeps to:scared:

Captured from the Visual Effect trailer. All cockpit views and on the last image you can see how great sparks are looking at night.

I don't recall if those GT5 pictures were posted (from GT PSP collector's edition), since the veyron is in HD... I'll scan them tomorrow for better quality if it hasn't been done yet by another member ;)

Those Bugatti images are NOT GT5 images. They are like the press GT-PSP bull shots which are basically the PSP models uprated. The real GT5 Veyron will be much more detailed than that.

PD have always hosted the images on their website in a super high resolution zip file.

Does anyone have the zip for the latest batch of images (from this TGS)? I would love to have them to add to my Windows 7 GT5 Background collection!

Second that! Would like to download all pics by a single click

Hahaha, dude, you know Enzo Ferrari was involved in war production for the Fascists in World War Two right? It's a damn jeep for crying out loud, they didn't use it to run over Jews. Half the damn cars in this game are from companies that were directly involved in the deaths of people. Deal, with, it.

they didn't use it to run over Jews
I wouldn't put it past them...

I think it would look less out of place if the off-road side of the game was more fully developed - something he seemed to hint at in future titles.

Really? The Nazi's used a lot of things created by manufacturers which are still around, in fact the entire German car industry was involved, as were some American car manufacturers ( Ford and GM for example in one way or the other, Henry Ford was a Hitler supporting anti-semite and Opel was still part of GM during the war whilst creating trucks and cars for the Nazi's ).
And don't forget a lot of Japanese manufacturers made things for the Japanese Axis-forces.
The Beetle was commissioned by the Nazi's, didn't you drive it in GT4?
The Auto-Union Streamliner in GT4 ( also designed by Ferdinand Porsche ) even had small Swastika's to each side in real life at one point during the thirties, didn't you drive it in GT4 for that reason?

I think it's a no-brainer to say the Nazi's were pure evil politically and are guilty of the most hideous war crimes and genocide the world has ever witnessed but the engineering side, the things they ( or better put engineers like Ferdinand Porsche who worked or were forced to work for them ) created for military reasons are today recognised for what they are purely as a piece of engineering and they created some unique and influential engineering masterpieces ( jet-engine and rockets for example ) despite the objectives they were designed for obviously being pure evil in its intention.

I regard them as the first Porsche designed off-road vehicles which are interesting in the way they're designed and fun to experience for what they are, just machines with a unique character.
If you're objecting that they were created and designed by an engineer working for the Nazi's, and you're entitled to that ofcourse, you might also feel objected to every other car designed by the same engineer, Beetle, Auto-Union and every early Porsche ever made.:)

Edit: Topsu, that's extremely offensive and unnecessary.👎

Ferdinand Porsche developed the VW Käfer (Beetle), after Adolf Hitler said he wants a car for "his" people. The whole VW brand just exists because of this. lol

Yes, maybe all the early vids we saw of sparks were a early build. Because in this picture the sparks look a hell of alot better then the ones I saw during the day. Those sparks look crazy.

Oh my lord, the Schwimmwagen even has a Jew-head -fitting propeller at the back. I can't imagine what the Nazis did with that. The Jew-community must be outrageous. GT5 delay is imminent. :nervous:

 hahaha.. that is hilarious my friend.

What is PD thinking with these little German Nazi Army cars in the game anyway?
Not that I have anything against it, Shall be interesting. I'm hoping they're not like those Daimler Motorwagon things or whatever they were called.

that last pic with the sparks.. Anyone else notice there are no headlight reflections in the car that the camera is in or the one with the sparks....

actually come to think of it the whole cockpit seems extremely dark. No shift lights or anything when you compare it to other night incar views of racecars.
