Will there be any backwards compatibility with GT4? as I have some save data on my internal memory card.

I don't think they ever listened as much to us as they do now.
A lot of features that will be in GT5 are all on the demand of the customer.
Although the website could be updated even more frequently,
we've got news now and then. More than in the GT1-4 era.
And the latest delay is IMO not a delay that would move GT5 a year away.

Even if some of these optimistic rumors weren't true,
they al align perfectly so.. make these optimistic rumors more credible.
I do believe GT5 was only 3 days late.
And I do believe Kaz has finally ended on GT5 and will keep his further and further perfectioning for GT6.

Sorry I asked.
I had a feeling, I didn't really want to know.

This thread seems to have jumped into channel surf mode.

They should make the 370z Time trial demo available again just for the fun of it.

I know it doesn't represent the full game but it was awesome fun. I need something to pass time.

Even advertising for GT5 in Belgian-Dutch P-magazine!(although not intended:p)

Sweet Jesus...

Does it include in the package ?

(That one from Dubai for 9500USD?)

Has SCEA really said that we may not get GT5 until 2011? Sorry to bring it up if this already has been discussed.

A Danish news article claims that in an article about the piracy problem with software 3.41.

http://www.gamereactor.dk/nyheder/80674/Pirater+forsinker+Gran+Turismo+5/

Google translation:

"Eternity Project Gran Turismo 5 was recently delayed by the hunredene time, and we believe the rumors, it's piracy, this time has caused the delay. According Sixth Axis Polyphony Digital namely built the game to run on version 3.41 of the PlayStation 3's firmware, but at the behest of Sony, they had to reprogram the 3.50 version.

Version shift is part of Sony's new strategy aimed at all games released after October 2010 require 3.50. By all accounts it is an attempt to stop piracy of games for PlayStation 3 and Gran Turismo 5 has changed caused, problems in style.

Yesterday Sony's American branch informed that we may have to wait until 2011 to put teeth into the game. After numerous delays, we are a bit skeptical about a launch in 2010, but hope nonetheless that car enthusiasts get tough packages signed Polyphony Digital under the Christmas tree this year.
"

There you have it. It's not Sony or Polyphony Digitial who are to blame for the latest delay over the release of the game.

It's the bloody pirates.:banghead:

The game itself is about as elusive as the extras, of which you have inquired.

Breaking new:

Global warming is also due to pirates

Especially from a financial point of view, Sony NEEDS GT5 for christmas! A release in 2011 would be a desaster..

:scared: The rarely seen TRIPLE POST!!!
I don't remember the last time I saw that! Somebody get this guy a premium!

I actually did three separate responses, so I have no idea how it became one.

How does showing a common sight on Dutch streets lighten the mood?
Plenty of where that came from on multiple other sites for those needing to be cheered up I guess.
If I wanted to see that I wouldn't be here to discuss GT5......

I'm sincerely sorry

Don't worry GT5 Canuck, some ppl round here frown upon ppl who do not use the Edit button. Yawn

I edited it to how it should be. That's why it says: "Last edited by Famine; Today at 8:50 AM. Reason: Triple post - please use the EDIT button" at the bottom (though your time stamp may vary).

Some people around here also frown upon those people who use "textspeak" despite agreeing not to when they joined the site.

Like me. You agreed to the AUP. You stick to it. If you find it boring, find another site.

The great OZ has spoken. :)

You know Famine, your the only positive thing, if you want to call it that, I can think of concerning the delay, since you were going to be out of the country, during the original release date. Now you will likely be home.
Assuming we all live long enough to see the release. ;)

Oh god this place is hilarious. I know the wait for GT5 seems to never end, but really... I can assure you there are better things to do than worry about your full stops being in the correct place, and spellings being double checked.

I love you guys <3.

Oh My, are those Reeboks?

And did they use duct tape to attach the wheel into the table?

What surprising to me at this point, Amazon.com is still displaying the Nov. 2 release date on their US site (which is incorrect now) on CE & hasn't sent out a notices yet.
The previous delay, they where quick to get one out. It could be possible that they are holding off updating the site until the end of the month.

Just waiting for the shoe to fall. :)
