Is the GT5 part over? My stream just shows people sitting around in cubicles with music playing...

Cockpit, bumper, and chase.

He said he doesn't like playing them in that view! What does he want blimp cam. There's not much else available for Petes sake.

..I fear..if Turn 10 hadnt 'bribed' these guys already..like many other review sites that praised Forza for accomplishments it didnt have.he calls photorealistic cartoony lol.show me a better sim gfx wise ,chump

Oh sorry I thought you meant in general. When he said he didn't like the view he was in chase. He said he prefers a wheel to the pad, and I don't think he could change the throttle from (x) either.

they also managed to talk about forza at one stage.. not comparing the two.. but still managed to bring it up

Pretty sure it's mapped to R2 and L2 for accelerate and brake..?

Not in his case. GT has always been X and [] as far as I know and I don't think you can change it in that demo.

In fairness that's something I'd say.
As for the forza comparison it's inevitable. ISR are go to do a special on it I think.

Probably better off waiting for forza 4 now. Forza 3 is old tech.

I'm on a pretty poor quality old screen here at the moment - can anyone tell me what the light blue car partially hidden behind the Alfa is please?

Good thing the Master Car List topic is locked so we can't discuss it there! Right, Famine? It's great to know you're thinking about the community. :D

I edited it to how it should be. That's why it says: "Last edited by Famine; Today at 8:50 AM. Reason: Triple post - please use the EDIT button" at the bottom (though your time stamp may vary).

Cool....umm, except, it doesn't say that. There's no edit note that I can see (although there is one when I do an edit myself).

The Double/Triple/Quadruple restriction and necessity to use the EDIT button isn't listed in the AUP (I checked: https://www.gtplanet.net/aup/), so in an effort not to have a repeat of this, where do I go to find out non-AUP restrictions/etiquette, instead of being blindsided again?

Do you really need to see a rule about it? It's common sense. Now you know you don't have to do it, it's like spam.

You people watched a live stream...from IGN...Seriously?

In this case, it's not an explicit part of the AUP - if it had been, I'd have brought it up with you rather than just tidying up. However, we do have a Multiquote feature (down by Edit and Quote) specifically to allow you to quote multiple posts and respond to them all at once.

Ah, there's good news about that.

You guys will grasp for anything if something doesn't speak of GT in a positive light.

So, post proof of these bribes.

Fair enough.

My point was that I was made an object of ridicule because I broke a rule that I didn't know existed, and that wasn't listed anywhere.

Yup. I saw/see no message it had been editted, so I was clueless until you cleared it up.

Cool. I will use that function from now on. Thank you, and my apologies for being new.

Don't forget to leave the [/QUOTE] tag on the end of your quotes, otherwise it wont work correctly :)

Interesting. I can see it quite clearly... I shall carry out some tests

Everyone's new once. Even Ben bloody Collins.

Don't be surprised of bribes in the industry. It's a common thing done in the industry.

Look at news sites like CNN proclaiming Microsoft's Kinect as the second coming, when clearly it's crap from the numerous user videos on youtube.

Another example was the Gamespot debacle with Kane and Lynch.

I wouldn't be surprised of Turn 10 trying to take away some of the fire from GT5. Their release date of FUC on Oct. 29th is hardly coincidence with GT5's former release date.

Get the units out in time for Black Friday and Cyber Saturday.

Black Friday and the following e-shopping days are usually meant for people to get stuff cheaper than usual. GT5 being out just for that day and at original price point makes no sense or difference to us or sony.

Thing is that reviews are opinions, some will agree with them and some will wonder what game they were playing. This is why they have reviews in the first place and why sites like Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes exist. Take a look at GT PSP, some love it, some think it's terrible. Neither is right, neither is wrong as they are both opinions.

You also have to keep in mind that for the most part the people who do reviews only spend about a week playing a game, whether or not it's enough time to grasp a game is up in the air.

What does marketing strategy have anything to do with paying off reviewers?

It's obvious that GT5's original date had to do with their release plan with the UC, it doesn't mean they are evil though, especially when Sony would do the same thing if it was the other way around.

Whatever happened to not judging things from Youtube videos because of [insert lame reason here]? Also, technically, compared to what Sony and Nintendo are offering Kinect is the second coming of motion controllers. Why? There's no physical controller to be held, it's just you and a sensor device.

Some of you really need to attend a business class of some sort, good God. Of course they're attempting to steal some of the fire away from GT5. They're called 'business and marketing tactics'. With the recent delay coming from out of nowhere, they're going to do just that... both with those who have never purchased Forza 3 (but will now considering what's being included) as well as those who already own the game, but would like the additional content.

EDIT: Dammit, Justin. :p

And miss some of the biggest shopping days of the year? You're right that those days are meant for people to get stuff for cheaper, but people don't only buy what's 50% off. They also buy things to go with their purchase. It helps even more when a game like GT5, one of the PS3's major titles is the "hot item." It would make no difference to us, we're all most likely going to pick it up on release. But to Sony, that's even more sales then say a December release.

Kinect is the second coming of motion controllers ...

It has to be precise to be a good motion controller.

You'd might as well laugh at Move and the Wii-mote as well if that's the case.

Oh.and CNN...when a NEW Halo game is about to launch.popular mechanics magazine for forza1 launch AND CHE,a.k.a Chespace,a.k.a Che Chou ,former T10 community manager, busted for offering I believe,CNET,to warp an online poll results to make forza3 the winner.gt5 was in the poll also.

You'd might as well laugh at Move and the Wii-mote as well if that's the case.

Kinect = eye toy 1,5 .the ps move is close to 1:1 movement.

Except Sony are not hoping that GT5 will only sell GT5.

They also hope it will drive sales of PS3's and many of those will be picked up on Black Friday.

They also hope it will drive sales of 3D HDTV's and many of those will be picked up on Black Friday.

Sony missing out on Black Friday sales because GT5 missed its production window by 3 days is something that I am betting they are seriously ****** at PD for.

Soooooo....... Just like the PSeye then ;)

Soooo, just like that old assed eye toy... if they can fix where the eyetoy went wrong then all credit to them, but personally its already come forward that it wont and cant do half what it was originally advertised to do.

So really I wouldnt be suprised if see Window washing... IN HD!:sly:
