and the release date of november 2nd wasn't a promise?

"THE GAME WILL RELEASE NOVEMBER 2ND IN NORTH AMERICA"

yeah right!

"There will be a new releasedate by the end of october"

yeah right!

anyhow, i just came across this, and forgive me if this has been posted already, but this threat is going way to fast for me to keep up.

A Japanese retailer had a December 23rd releasedate on their website for a moment, only to remove it from their site minutes later.

I have nothing against kotaku western edition but its been said in different retailers and that is not a "real release date".

Is the same like gamestop release dates or Amazon dates, speculation, just that.

I read a little report with F1 test pilot Andy Soucek impression's about GT5 physics and graphics in "Fórmula Car & Tecno" magazine, in Spain (I don't know if this magazine is also sold elsewhere...). Has it been already said or should it tell you it?

Please tell. 👍 If scans are there, please post. 👍

It appears you don't still get that something came up and forced this delay.

"There will be a new releasedate by the end of october"

It appears you also have reworded the announcement as I don't see anywhere on the official sites where it says that. Again, the moaning about so called "promises" is really childish, epecially since they said they "Expect" a release date, not "promise" one by the end of October and the last I checked, the two words don't share the same meaning.

Since you seem to know, would you mind telling us exactly what that "something" is while you're at it? Thought so...

LMAO @ hardvibes, so bad that it's good.

It's definitely a GINA

oh god, it took me embarrassingly long to get that haha. Good one though ahha.

edit

3,000 pages by GT5 release date? xD

I don't understand people searching the new release date ??? At this point ... who cares ! Who knows if it won't be pushed back again .... useless !

Funny how something that reminds people of a vagina can erase people's disappointment over the delay just like that...

Because there has been nothing but silence regarding the game since the delay was announced. Sure, there was the X1 screens and spec list, but nothing of any actual substance.

Edit:

Actually, there was that PSM3 magazine article which elaborated on a few things we already knew about. But my point still remains.

Imagine how much good a real one would do... :p :p

Ahh Nice one thanks 👍..... Were off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of Kaz..Oh hang on the wizard was all smoke and mirrors, damn.

And what makes you think I would happen to know what that something is? Something came up, simple as that. What that is, either production issues or something with the code, but all these printed and finalized dates of November 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th only to be delayed suddely within the final days of release tells me something came up. but I guess you want to try to tell me something along the lines of I don't know anything so I should not speak like I do, which ironically enough I haven't been.

Well,

Poor girls. They have to put on those fakie smiles for hours while a bunch of testosterone snaps their pictures ad nauseum. Oh well, girls sell. Too bad there's not a product to be sold.

Wouldn't you agree? :p

Ok :) (sorry for the possible mistakes in translation...)

As I said, it's in "Fórmula Car&Tecno" magazine's November edition. It really doesn't say very much, it's a three pages article speaking about the differences between F1 2010 and GT5 with and F1 simulator and the reality. The title is: "Fiction or reality? Where is the computer game's limit?"

"Since Gran Turismo was introduced in 1997, every new GT game is expected with impatience. The next one will be GT5, which will be out in December... Unless it's delayed again, since it has been happening since 2008.

In the other hand, F1 2010 from Codemasters is the only game that allows you to drive a Formula 1 Car from your living room, since it has the exclusive of F1's copyright.

In both products, the revolution is related with the arrival of High Definition. In addition, GT5 is the first Driving simulator that claims to offer 3D.

(...)

But, would it be possible to feel the difference between a virtual and a real car by driving them? To test the simulator's fidelity, we have tested both games using the most strict tool: A pilot. Specifically, F1 Virgin Racing third driver: Andy Soucek.

Aside from a F1, Andy drives an 800 hp car in Superleague Formula, and has in his garage cars like Audi R8. He also has driven a lot of kilometers in a Ferrari 458 Italia -the two cars we have selected to test GT5. But the most important thing is that Soucek has "lived" by six months in Virgin's F1 simulator.

To make the test as accurate as possible, Andy has used HD TV's, and a high quality steering wheel with pedals (note: In the photo he's seen playing with a DFGT an Audi R8 in Madrid Circuit). In F1 2010, Soucek drove in a circuit he knows very well: Montmeló. Regarding GT5, the demo version Sony offered us had a feature that allowed us to make the most realistic possible test: 3D. We have asked Andy to test the simulation's realism about graphic elements and cars behaviour: The similarities with the real model and if the F1 behaviour was affected by the car tuning/settings.

In both games the result has been very good, even from a pilot's view.

"When you just have begun playing GT5, the street's, signals and shadows realism catches your eye -in both games the light simulation depending on daytime is incredible, as well as the sunset recreations, the headlights effect during night racing and even the raindrops in the windshield or in the helmet's visor-". However, the driving physics test result was not as good: "In the R8, the engine's sound is far from reality, and the same happens with it's behaviour... However, in the 458 the realism is astonishing. It is just as funny as the real deal.", Andy explains.

Then Andy Soucek gives his opinion about F1 2010, which seems to be very realistic, specially when you drive without electronic aids. However he says it's far from F1 team's simulators.

And that's all folks... There are just a few screenshots and there's nothing new about them...

PD: I LOVE Depeche Mode and Enjoy the Silence is one of my all time's favourite songs! :)

Never underestimate its healing powers! :P

You clearly fail to detect the subtleties of language often thankfully displayed and largely understood around here as this answer illustrates again, which would be fine if you didn't react so literal ( for lack of a better word ) and try to explain what I understood already or even what I myself wrote ( I can read and comprehend often at the same time ).
You've got the 'dry' part covered, now aim for the witty bit.....
And no there's indeed no need for me to be your critic ( don't flatter yourself in thinking I'm exclusively your critic though ) but I'm free to choose what I criticize on a public forum regardless to whom it's aimed at originally.

If you can read why do you keep replying to me? Read this, lay off my back and stop acting as if your words and statements are a mystery to me in their meanings. Like I said in my last post, you don't need to be my critic, and I don't need to be yours. If you really want to have this conversation you can continue on with it, but I don't see the need to have a response from you when I was carrying on a joke with someone else. You want in on the joke or something? That's cool, maybe you can take the joke up with Slipstream. All this stems from what I said about Pot Kettle Black. I understood the meaning of it, and I made a joke back. What are you doing? You clearly state you are criticizing, well when you do that you welcome criticism back. So clearly you have a problem with someone criticizing your posts but you feel the need to do the same thing to mine? That's the very definition of hypocrisy when you get all worked up to the point you have to reply to me with goofy half joking remarks about how I'd be 'flattered to have a critic'. Your posts are lame dude, grow up and get a life besides forum joke patrolling.
