I cant believe it! NO DATE? I consider myself a huge undying optimist,but this is becoming a big Effing joke now.Seeing as the SLS AMG is the cover car,and the guys at forzamotorsport are driving it around already.a lack of date means we're bordering on being screwed over for a 2010 date.Man..I thought we'll the first guys to drive that car around..atleast,before Turn 10.Thanks PD.you build us up...just to break us down

Yeah but FM3 steers for you , in GT5 you will have FULL control of the car, so yeah, we will be the first ones to play with the car in SIMULATION!

Well, they were gonna get it first anyway thanks to the Forza 3 "Ultimate edition" so its not as if this delay caused it to happen.
 
Still dissapointed that they play it first.I saw pics of it though lol CLEARLY not as gorgeous as the premium GT5 model.I dont believe Mercedes would let their customers sit on leather covered granite,but thats what it looks like lol.Also,the dimensions of the interiors are way off.It is horribly annoying not knowing when we can take the SLS around the green hell yet :(
 
November 2nd. Well I've packed my DFGT back in its box. I'll just use my Dualshock and start playing something non-car related. Whatever hope I had in Sony has faded.:indiff:
 
I reckon new release date will be announced at SEMA during the Gran Turismo Awards and I'll wager December 7th as the US release date.

C'mon guys keep your chins up - this game will surely rock our friggen socks off and surely Sony will insist on it coming out in time for Christmas so they can max sales even if they have to slap Kaz and take it out of his hands themselves.

I am dissapointed amd frustrated like you all, and I have a brand new DFGT gathering dust.

I would like to go in a rant about GT5 and the long wait etc, but whats the point. I will just patiently sit tight for news, and look forward to having GT5 in my hands.

I was kind of dissappointed with the theme. Only 4 cars, and I thought it would actually be dynamic rather than just a slide show. Got it for free, so can't complain.

I actually like the theme, It does better than What I did before, (Use gt5 screenshots, as wallpapers, and have that on the xmb). I thought maybe it could switch cars either more frequently or better yet just have more than 4 cars. The cars are fairly hard to render, but Im surprised that they didnt maybe have a different backround enviroment for each. Maybe one can be in a garage, then another on a street etc., like what they have in prologue, except without the camera moving. Otherwise it would be a "premium, premium" theme.
 
Such a fail, I would be staying up all night talking and stuff. Believe it or not I think I should just buy some crap FPS to cheer me further into remembering "GT5 will NEVER come out."

Maybe it's karma for waiting forever to release the game. PD was late to production by 3 days, so now Sony has to miss out on 2010 holiday sales if they push it back to 2011. Oh well, possibly millions lost because of all the waiting and mucking around
 
So what's the deal here? I kept reading the last few pages to see if anyone knows the latest release date for GT5, but most of the posts mentions people's hopes and dreams of the release date, demanding it be released at once (now), if GT5 does not release this years I will..., and other discussions.
So if anyone notices this posts before 20 people post at once, please give the precise answer.
 
Nobody knows for sure yet so just get used to people speculating, or moaning and crying about Sony/PD and the release date.
 
I am having so much fun playing Superstars V8 Racing online (US PSN version), I can't even begin to imagine how awesome GT5 will be online.
 
Give us a freakin demo atleast,PD.Im trying to sit patiently and wait..but I just cant.Its bad enough that at E3..we all thought.. 'wow..november is so far away.half a year almost.Well..atleast..its a proper date' ...now Im half way through my finals.And am anxious over this date.It makes me angry knowing I relied on GT5 to help me wind down and relax after writing these exams lol
 
Pre-ordered Black Ops today. Someone wake me when GT5 is actually for sale.

I would hate to complain about the free theme too, but I was hoping for car related icons, at the least. Not really excited about the dynamic slideshow, but the icons just seem like they were pulled from something else.

thats a win right there... and unexpected bonus points! if you look at most of the song names they strangely tie in to how most people feel towards Sony and PD right now... Hmmm the hidden messages gang will have a field day with this one! 💡
 
They're just song names put into alphabetical order.
 
Except for "5oul on D!5play DELAY" which is between "N" and "O" :dunce:

First time I've noticed my entry to that competition in the picture. Far right, 4th from the bottom "The End is the Beginning".
