Yeah, but before games were online, they were all about campaigns offline, things have changed since GT4 came out.

I'm not sure if I liked the way KY was talking about this all that time ago, the main reason is that GT Mode was so addictive, for why I am not sure, I would certainly miss it big time, guess we'll just have to wait and see what he really meant.
There are still major games which provide online play as an 'option'. Uncharted 2 for example. I don't think PD will let us down on the GT mode part.

GT mode played not against AI but online against real people, that would be fantastic news!

what would be great or even fantastic right now is for PD to release a full official car list and track list. Come on PD, don't be shy you have nothing to hide.

Are you really sure you would want details like this to be leaked?

I would like to see "full" list with hidden 50% of cars.
Something like this for example...
If there are 10 Astons and... 8 Alfas then:
Aston Martin
Aston Martin DB7
Aston Martin DB9
Aston Martin DBS
Aston Martin Vanquish
Aston Martin Vantage
Aston Martin ...
Aston Martin ...
Aston Martin ...
Aston Martin ...
Aston Martin ...
Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo 156
Alfa Romeo 159
Alfa Romeo 147
Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI Race Car
Alfa Romeo ...
Alfa Romeo ...
Alfa Romeo ...
Alfa Romeo ...
With list like that we would know how many cars will be from each manufacturer but.. we will still have suprise at cars that wouldn't be on the list (would be as "...").
For track I wuld prefer full list to just be sure about the numbers (20? 70?).

ps. sorry for my bad English :p

Or they could start releasing screen shots of cars every week from about 6 weeks before the release. So we don't get bored.

That would be the worst idea in the whole long and sad history of bad ideas: having a GT mode with online players! Are you crazy!👎

No that's not the future, who gives two dimes about MW2, a generic shooter! The way online works is great fun for a quick play, but nothing like GT mode. In GT mode you have all the time you want and or need to modify and race and watch replays without "people" ramming you from behind and driving idiotic race-lines and generally F-ing it up. :yuck:

Perhaps its all these youngsters who feel online is the way to go, but that's really destroying the game!

Luckily KY already said that GT mode will be the same and the online RACE component is there for the multiplayer aspect (someone dig this up, he mentioned this somewhere not too long ago).

GT mode with online players...pfff:crazy:

I'll never use online mode because of that very reason. Silly little children that think it's a circus act.

I wouldn't mind online car lots, like say you sell a car it goes to the used car lots for someone else to buy, or online car trades (so long as it doesn't glitch while trading and you both lose both cars :dunce:), but the actual racing of GT Mode should stay offline.

I've suggested numerous times they should release frequent screenies of a new car at time intervals, but no that'd be much to much to ask.

I have to think that if you could race with people you want to (private race), that you would.
It's probably going to be a long time before the next GT and to miss out on many years of online racing against people you know is, well, terrible.
I race every week with my friends LAN style and it is the greatest racing out there. Of course we are all in the same room next to each other.

As said earlier about MW (CoD), playing humans is a whole new aspect of gaming.
Yes I agree a select few ruin the fun at times (punters for GT, campers for CoD), but with private matches, you play the people you invite, simple.

As for GTmode online, why not?
NFS Shift had a point system similar to GT performance points and the current PP system seems to work just fine.
I imagine races in lobbies for the WRC, NASCAR, Super GT, etc..
These would be less fun if you couldn't tune your car's setup before racing.
Look at it as the same as using the current pro race tuning.

For stock cars and offline GTmode, go ahead, add your tuner/race ready parts, tweek them and go beat some........... AI.
It would be more fun to have your friends do the same thing and race each other (as other GT games in the past) but do it online too.

GTmode doesn't have to be online only, just add online to it.

Ohh of course!! I forgot all about GT5 having private lobbies . well in that case I will use it.

I care only about offline don't like to play game online... For multiplayer I use Lan or splitscreen mode!!!

PD should give us livery and track editor!!!
More (official) screenshots & videos (Nurb!!) are welcome... well...the more information they give the better!

Wasn't today supposed to be a big day concerning news? Have i missed something?

You haven't missed anything, my friend.

Welcome to Waiting, For News. Population: us. :dopey:

I was hoping for a little more news too, but this was an Automotive Expo, not a Gaming Expo.

wow,Tokyo auto salon finish today and we didn't have any more video!!I'm very disappointed...(sorry for my bad english)

Can't you boot people from online???

I see japanese people don't care about gt5 like we do.

Let's just break into the PD building and STEAL what we want! Power to the people! Revolution! HAHAHA :D

PD should give us livery and track editor!!!

A track editor definitely won't work. As for a livery editor, I would limit in to alternative colours only.

There will be more manufacturer agreements announced there as well. It’ll be a great show for us.”

Where the 🤬 was I, Kazunori?

That can only mean one thing: Porsche.

Isn't the Salon over? What the hell did they do there?

That can only mean one thing: Porsche.
Erm, no. How do you work that one out? There are quite a lot of manufacturers we don't already have in GT so far. Also it doesn't say they will be announcing "new" manufacturers, just manufacturer agreements. And they announced a new manufacturer agreement, one with Toyota and their new G-Sports deal.

Why? Almost nothing good about racing online in forza.

What isn't good about it?

The only downfall I can think of is only 8 players.
