Interesting how there is a Ferrari exclusive desclaimer at the end.
 
Wouldn't it be great if Sony was to come out on Friday and say the game is shipping as we speak and will be available in stores Tuesday.

I know it probably ain't gonna happen but would make for some happy people on this forum.

I would forgive you if you weren't interested in cars as to the casual observer they might appear somewhat similar, if you're a true petrolhead however that statement is unforgivable and bordering on heresy.....thank God I'm not a witchhunter.

Yep Camaro looks like Mustang. Fighting words to both Chevy and Ford fanatics.

I once had a 71 Firebird and drove it into work. One of my co workers had a nice 71 Mustang. This same guys tells me "nice Mustang" referring to my car and he was serious. I could not believe that the owner of a 71 Mustang did not know my car was not even a Ford. Needless to say I pretty much ignored anything he had to say car related from that point on.
 
To be fair, from the custom trimming and the phot angles, I can see why a car noob would think a stang looks like a camaro.
 
BestBuy has just launched its new shopping site in the UK today. They are giving a release date for 3rd December

And then you see an PS3 gamebox in it... 💡 GT5 Woaahhhh FTW!(§!/!)§ AHHHHH :drool: (Now that would be better then an release date and then wait for the day x)

Didn´t Kaz told that the release would be an surprise? Or I remember he was saying anything about an surprise in 2009...
 
I personally don't know jack about old American musclecars. That doesn't mean I don't know anything about Europian/Japanese cars. It's just what interests you most.
 
Is there anymore big gaming show this year? I would hope that SONY releases before black friday.

For the record in response to mygroth, I personally like understated cars and mainstream cars thats what interests me the most. I want to throw an old Mini Cooper around Monza for example, or a Ford Fiesta. Normally when I can put the game on and my sister goes "ZOMG A PINK FIAT 500" it fills me with that warm glow.

So the Audi RS6 was an automatic win.

Interesting, maybe. New, no. Anything and everything that includes ferrari, no matter if other manufacturers are involved, has that prancing horse and ferrari disclaimer at the end.

There has been in every GT5 trailer since Ferrari got involved with GT, even the ones without a Ferrari in. The Italian marque has always been very protective of their brand, and this was probably one of the conditions imposed on PD before they would let their cars into the game.

Ford Fiesta never made it in the game, so I guess in GT5 there will be no Fiestas. As for Panda 100HP, Twingo 133, hopefully Abarth 500 will be there and GPunto too. But I see your point, I like that too.
 
Lol, I thought the moment I posted "damn, no Fester" but if there is an original Mini in there it absolutely must be a premium. With the leather seats. Then nobody can get in the back ¬_¬

The cars in these pics are exactly how I want my cars in GT5 to look.

I think the release date will likely be December 28th in the US. It follows the same trend that PD has followed with other late December releases (GT4 released on December 28 in Japan, December 11 for GT2, December 24 GT1...in Japan).

Also, with a US release on December 28th, it ensures pretty much every kid in America will have that day off for the Holidays (as well as many of the parents to take them to the store), giving them the entire day to buy on release day. Lastly, it fits into the picture of a "Holiday" release, but wasn't specifically mentioned as a "December" release because other places in the world will likely release during the first couple days of January.

I'd hate to have to wait that long, but it's better than anything 2011 or beyond.

By that logic, maybe they should wait until July 10 and release it on GT3's 10 year anniversary.

December 28th is quite possibly the worst time to release a game. It's after Christmas. Few kids would agree to skip a gift in anticipation of waiting for GT5 and few parents would be willing to go out on the 28th in an eggnog educed stupor to buy it.
 
Well let's just hope those factories are being worked to their limit then eh?
