I was curious on what stig was doing in the past, don't really care for what Ben is doing now. Although he is all over the place, i see him on fifth gear and some other stuff.

yea fifth gear of all places, he's going backwards not forwards as he had hoped. Did you see him DNF in one of the races hahaha it's like the stig's spirit left him when he left..as far as I know the Stig's a spirit and whomever he possess, that person shall become the best driver in the world hahah

To be honest I dont believe he would ever have. People love the stig as a character, In truth it makes no difference who the driver is, the stig is a character in the same way Darth Vader (David Prowse) was/is.

I'm not saying that Sony will forget about the GT franchise, it will always be an integral part of Sony Entertainment & gaming. But I'm wondering if there will be a day when Sony, not just Sony Entertainment, has bigger plans for PD that GT franchise & game development won't be the #1 priority for both parties anymore. That's what I've been trying to get a stab at.

Ok, I get what you mean.

But if you look now, GT\KY already has some really strong bonds with the Auto industry and motorsports... the things you listed and the fact that KY was featured twice IIRC in the Motor Trend TOP50 (list of people in the Auto industry), you can't really get bigger than that.

In the latest Top Gear magazine, KY was talking how it is different to work in the Auto industry and in game development. The freedom they have, in one, you have to take into account how eco-friendly newer cars must be, etc. While in the other you are able to create something like the X1, with only one worry: is it fun to drive?

To me, that just proves that his main focus is GT and he's never going to put it in second place in favor of collaborations with the industry. And since those things aren't exclusive and it's on Sony best interests to keep the GT brand strong, KY will keep doing both and SCEI will keep supporting it.

The only situation I see SCEI\PD changing focus of GT... will be IF KY retires from gaming development. Since there's is no Gran Turismo without Kazunori Yamauchi.
 
I got some friends wo work for PSM (benelux)
He told me it's almost sure GT5 will release on the first of december in europe.

A friend of mine who works for an unknown retailer told me that the game will be release on march 2011, should I trust him ?

I just want an official link with official words to proove it once and for all

Look, you don't have to trust me.
I'm a big fan of GT, i would never harm fans with false data.
We'll see within 24 hours ... ;)
 
I emailed the website with the 30th november 'confirmed' in the news section to ask if it was given to them by sony or a placeholder and this is the reply i received:

Hi Jonathan, yes the date was confirmed yesterday by Sony. Thanks.

Actually sick and tired of seeing posts claiming the official release date with absolutley no proof.
 
Guys...calm down with the release dates...just because your friends or some dudes on twitter said official, doesn't mean Sony said it's official. They might have just pulled from the "Released on or about Nov. 30th, 2010." and interpreted that instead.

Let's wait for more info before we jump our guns...we wouldn't want to build up false hope then get it crushed again...:ouch:
