Guys...calm down with the release dates...just because your friends or some dudes on twitter said official, doesn't mean Sony said it's official. They might have just pulled from the "Released on or about Nov. 30th, 2010." and interpreted that instead.

But i have a inside source that called me this evening cause he had good news for me. They are busy with a GT5 article for PSM and advertising that is related to a release date also.
Sorry if my english sucks.
But i said earlier, nothing sure though.
It's a probely yes he said.
 
Remember the whole Russian delay. In one of those official delay notices before it went global, it said Nov 30th was the adjusted release date. So many different sources are pointing to US Nov 30th release date, yes even the SONY site thats trying to sell the damn game. They just don't want a fanfare filled PR waste of time by saying "the NEW release date is...". They're just letting it trickle, just in case something happens....again.

Haha..no need for apologies, I'm just as excited as you to hear an official release date. However, I don't want to see people cry and rage when Sony announces a later date after 11/30/10 thinking that Sony delayed it again...
 
I wonder how many pages do repeated rumors and recycled news add up to in this thread? It's probably near 1/4 of the total number. :eek:

A friend of mine who works for an unknown retailer told me that the game will be release on march 2011, should I trust him ?

Just got a call from someone who works somewhere and immediately asked him whether he knew when GT5 was going to be released.
He was baffled by this question and stumbled something about a mortgage he could offer if I was interested.
Told him I wasn't interested and would like to hear an answer to my original question or whether he thought late November or early December was possible.
He answered: "I suppose so, anyway have a nice evening" and hung up.
So there you have it, late November or early December isn't ruled out to be possible according to this guy for what it's worth.

"A succession of audible blips betrays that someone, somewhere in the building, has just started a race. I ask Yamauchi what he plans to do at the week’s close, when the final “code” (the term attributed to a game prior to its release) is handed over to be burned onto discs and then retailed the world over. “There are a lot of things that we couldn’t put in this time,” he sighs, “so we’ll probably just continue making the game. Completing one piece of work - in this case, GT5 - really connects to the motivation to make the next one.” "

Yeah I'm still wishing for a release on december, and I'll be really disapointed if this happens to be wrong, but thinking that a date with no confirmations could be trusted is worst than anything else 👎

Can people please stop sending in retail 'release dates'. They are meaningless.
Still no news ha...
Hopefully SOMETHING this weekend. Just a tiny reliable rumor is enough. Just something....

At least it kind of backs up the statement he did a couple of days ago, about the discs being stamped as he spoke.
 
Tokyo Gameshow is almost 2 months ago. So I don't think that the code was delivered by then. I doubt it takes 2 months to make the discs.

Well...if you were a customer, where would you place your orders? NCSX that has a "Confirmed" Nov. 30th shipping date vs. Everywhere else "TBA" or some placeholder date. It's all marketing to get customer sales. Funny thing is...can anyone find the actual web page on NCSX to place an order for GT5? I can't even find it...which basically means nothing as many people above already said.

The interview is kind of confusing, It states that the interview took place on late September, it then also says "The latest GT outing, released this month, will be the biggest yet." So was the game supposed to come out in September? Also the interview is to be published in Esquire magazine for the December issue, wouldn't all this news be months old?

The interview is from Esquire.

At the end of the preview (the same where the first Ring at night image came from), it said November 2010 (my bad it said "next month").
The full interview came out in the December issue. Meaning it was put together in October, align that with the time the preview was posted and it totally makes sense (the time the delay hit, etc).
