The thing that makes me wonder if it isn't a fake is the fact it isn't just a pic of an SLS.

What I mean by that is if I was going to fake a pic of a disc I would use a picture of an SLS or something to do it!

Am not saying it isn't fake but its an Australian disc, with an Australian rating and SCEE cover Australia so there is nothing wrong in that respect.

I believe its real. Just comparing it to my prologue disk. It is spot on I can't see much wrong with it. Everything is perfect from the outside text on the edge of the disk to the text included at the bottom. Guys, I think this is the real deal. :)

I don't know, but the disc has an Australian age rating and it says it was manufactured in Australia.

how else you think they make designs ???

either way , sony or a faker would use photoshop..

what im saying is

the logo's, writing around the rim etc is too proffesional for a fake.

there are some very handy photoshop guys out there...

but this is TOO GOOD to be a fake.

and besides which...

he woul dhave to own a serious KICK ASS printer to come out with that quality..

Thats my point, Its just too perfect to be a fake, Besides, It doesnt has those cut errors, its just a Mix of Reflects, Blurriness and poor lightning.

Its an Australian Disk, It has the Australian Rating and its manufactured in Australia.

The PS3 Logo isnt off, its just that the PS Logo is part of the PS3 Logo, so if you look at the two Logos as one, you'll see its Centered.

Also, It doesnt matter if its not the SLS AMG, I remeber GT4 being a White Speedometer while the Ford GT was in the Cover.

The Rim is way too perfect to be made in Photoshop, and the noise levels in General are just too Perfect.

Oh By the Way, I've been working with Photoshop Since I was 13 Years Old.

Its Perfect in whatever way you look at it :drool:

The wheel is like I've mentioned a couple times, a second gen TE37 wheel made by Rays Engineering/Volk Racing. They are a huge wheel manufacture in Japan and since it is a newer wheel, it will probably also be available in GT5

Even if this is real or not, I would have throught Polyphony would have used the factory spec wheels of the SLS for the disc artwork.
 
having saved this pic and more closley inspected it...

I stand with ITS REAL...

what makes me say this is the print quality...

yes you can get decent printers these days for cheap at home..

but that is pro print quality..

the kind of quality you will not get from a terrestrial printer..

I may be wrong..

but im standing with its genunine..

what is on the sticker as far as wheels not matching the SLS is irelivant... and there could very well be more than one disc design, infact i would bet PD have many disc designs .

print quality alone...

thats no fake
 
One thing's for sure, this definately backs up Kaz's statement of the discs being stamped so its not a lie afterall.

But, it's probably fake BECAUSE it's so perfect. And the label might be real, but it could be a simple sticker. And there is a little bit of lift on that label on the right side.

Just because something is perfect doesn't make it perfect and just because it's real doesn't make it real. Reality can be faked, as can perfection.
 
Don't you think a 3D logo should also be displayed there?

then you would know that anything made from printing production or graphics in general wouldnt use photoshop but illustrator/indesign.

photoshop uses rasterized graphics instead of vector graphics like illustrator does. that is what gives you the nice clean lines when printing. its easy to fake something like this you would just need skill to do it.

The person who made this is probably sitting there laughing his ass off at this. After all those hours of work, watching us fanboys go crazy arguing wether it's real or not is payment enough I think

Well that is one thing he certainly didn't do as the PS3 branding has cahnged from the Playstation 3 branding so far.

In the guys defence he has been playing black ops for over a week and provided evidence of that.

I've gotta ask, how can you use the Prologue disc as a reference? They changed the look of the discs after Prologue came out. It'd be stupidly hard to make a brand new disc from looking at Prologue. I'm not saying it's real, but you'd be hard pressed to make a case that it is fake. It just looks like it's right on the money.
