I do hope this is the quiet period before the 'storm' comes... when the news of GT5 is gonna get flooded all over the net. :dopey:

That's exactly what I've been thinking the past week or so.

The calm before the storm. :) 👍

Theres this, no mention of Gran Turismo or PD on this list.
is however Grid 2 if you look in the G section.

thats next month.

Actually, if you look under the S's you'll see Sony Computer Entertainment America and Sony Entertainment Online. So, with SCEA there, GT just might appear...you have to remember that PD is the developer and Sony is the Publisher, so it might appear in the Sony Booth.

there is the Egyptian auto show:):):):gtpflag:

no seriously a question guys did PD ever comment on the Delay ?

You're right there. My bad. Well we might see something.

Yes... The Time Trial ends soon, I have been hoping that we might get some more info then.

Only a couple of days. They might surprise us all and release the full game in Febuary. :sly:

^Little skeptic about that, but maybe they will give us a release date or some other info.

At least maybe we'll see footage of the second track in the academy. (Imagine if it's Tokyo).

I read something on gran-turismo (JP), translated via google, that mentioned the TT demo being available through February. Doesn't the TT end on the 24th of January? So GT Academy ends in the 24th and the Demo remains available?

Not saying GT5 will be out when the TT is no longer available (which would make sense, I can't get back to Prologue Physics anymore now), but still don't get why it would not end when GT Academy date ends or continue indefinably until GT5 launches.

Doesn't make sense that February availability (sorry if already discussed, but I couldn't find any discussion on this).

The TT Demo expires one month after the GT Academy trial ends. Go to the TT demo and press the triangle button. Scroll down to Information (or properties, can't remember) and it will say that the demo expires on the 24th (I think) of February.

Well then they changed it, because it used to be the 24th of January

The japanese version runs through february 15th.

My guess is that the second stage of GT academy runs from january 25th to february 15th, and then in the middle of february both versions expire.

Then, with those events over, they will release more info on the game.

The UK demo is still the 24th of January.I just checked.

So basically what will happen in 2 days? Will the TT remove itself (auto-destruction o_0) or will we still be able to play it offline?

We will still be able to play it until Feb 24th. Then the auto destruct thing will happen.

I would guess it will just become unplayable since it's constantly connected online to due to the live leaderboards.

Yes, it will say expired and refuse to start. What's interesting is that obviusly they timed the demo to expire just before the Japan release. And now since the japan date is unknown will they update the expire date?

Hopefully that means the 2nd track gets released to everyone as well during this extra month?
Because whenever you select the menu to go choose which car to drive, it logs onto the net for a good bit, for whatever reason

Actually, once you are into the demo, even if you get disconnected from the network you still can play (but you can't update your online record).

^ This has happened before, not that i'm complaining.

Hey just a thought, if we do get dynamic day & night changes which could be hooked up live. What happens if you miss the qualifying lap or the main race ?, can we rewind the whole session then join an already finished race day ?.Maybe this is the rewind, KY-San was talking about eh.Sorry i mean a live race with professional racing drivers & races online with others friends or with the a.i too.

yeah in theory you could sign in and start playing the demo minutes before it expires and then disconnect the ps3 from the internet. You could prob keep playing it for a week longer if you left you ps3 for that long and never quit the race. Why anyone would actually want to do this I do not know, I've seen just about enough of Indy until the final game lol

Maybe they'd give us a release date for them announcing the release date!

Give us CES demo! :D

Edit: just double checked the Information screen for the TT Demo and it says that the game expires on 2/24/2010 @ 4:59pm.

I'm quite sure mine expires in January. Maybe it expires later in NA because you guys might have a later release date than Europe.

Pretty sure they won't give us the CES demo...
It includes the NĂĽrburgring and Tokyo, on which they worked very very hard.
They wouldn't give that away just for free...
But they can't charge for it neither, because that would upset everybody.
So I don't know what they're going to do actually.
