Are these GT5 pics? :)

Directly had to watch this guy, that looks sick. :D

Wow that was some amazing driving... /sarcasm.

I do not understand how those replay videos with the Mclaren and SLS sounded so good yet somehow others like this one and the Lambo sound so bad. They basically recycled the sound from GT5p's F430. The 458 has a much throatier exhaust note. Ugh.

Any German GTP'er want to give this a visit?

The McLaren and SLS video didnt sound good, it was clipping and distorded, this is why some of the deeper frequences were rougher.

I'm not really a Ferrari fan, but they all sound pretty similar to me.

There is a preview in GamesTM magazine, and they trashed GT5 :)

I found a small excerpt - maybe

UK magazine GAMEStm has given GT5 a complete trashing in the preview of the game in the new issue. They said "after playing the game, we felt pure disappointment, it's a well crafted game (apart from blurry texture mapping), but on a gameplay level there is nothing in GT5 that can't be found, better, in other current racing games.

How can they trash it? Do they have a full Game???
Just Trolls i think.
But a link or a scan would be interesting.

A mechanics degree is on the to do list then.

Hey a guy named wiseguy100, take them comments with a pinch of salt.

That's where I first saw it, then went searching, but only found a small excerpt from it. It's subscriber only

I don't read magazine reviews or previews, just like I don't read movie reviews. Just because they didn't like it, doesn't mean that I won't.

So they played on PRO with assists turned off and were never able to get around a corner? Of course that automatically means the game sux.

Well for us SIM fans that's very nice to hear  GAMEStm am cry

Read what he said again. Those "strange scratches" are not the final damage model. ;)

You talk like you KNOW what the final damage model on that car is going to look like. Maybe you know something we don't?
Nobody has seen it, but I'm wrong for suggesting it's going to be the same, and you're right for saying it's going to be better. I forgot that's the way things work im fanboyland.

in-car video of me driving Laguna Seca in a Skip Barber F2000 formula car.
Have you shared this at all?

You forget how things work in video game development, the damage model we have seen was just what they did so far. Various interviews and sources have told us that since the damage we saw in the 3rd quarter of last year (Which is where the damage in that vid was first shown) the damage model has been improved. This is because people like you complained about it and PD have listened.

But you must also note that licenses with manufacturers restrict them from damaging the inside of the cockpit of road production vehicles, just like in Forza 3, the damage on road models is going to be very basic, dents/scrapes etc. Its the race car damage model that we are expecting to be really good, that we havn't seen yet.

Oh yeah its odd how you called R1600Turbo a fanboy, he's a respected member of these forums, so maybe you should listen to what he has to say.

And you've seen the final game to be sure that we are wrong? Don't tell us that we may be wrong when you can't prove that you are right.

^^^ Apparently you didn't see my response two pages back.

Go ahead and call me a fanboy. If that's what enjoying the game for what it is and not nitpicking at every little freaking detail means, than sure.

Yeah, I've only been here for 7.5 years.

I am talking exactly about the cosmetic damage model on most cars which is tragic. Even forza 3 is doing it times better, hell even forza 2 had a better cosmetic damage model (scrapes and dents).
I didn't call anybody a fanboy, you just did.

I have proof of something being utterly ugly and useless. You've got nothing but speculations and someone told someone that he read that it's going to be improved.

Yeah, the OLD damage model. Since neither of us have seen the FINAL damage model that will be implemented, we should all just shut up now.

1) What's tragic? A WORK IN PROGRESS? Yamauchi already said the damage we saw was just the first step, made in 2 MONTHS.
2) No full GT was released for ps3 yet, so please stop talking about full games on other platforms.
3) True, you didn't call him fanboy, you called THIS community "Fanboyland", which means you called ALL of us fanboys:
I forgot that's the way things work im fanboyland.

4) Once again you have proof of a work in progress, period. And why useless? You're the guys who pretend damage, and now you spit on it?
5) I guess you're talking about speculation too, so what's your point?
6) You double post and don't even apologize.

PD is showing really poor things everytime new footage from the game appears so don't be pissed when anyone names it concretely and don't do any crusades against real debaters if you are cooking from the water and they have fair prove for their words. Then you can look silly even if you have been hundred years before them at gtplanet. Thank you.

New footage running from old code. Code that they haven't finalized or that they "gimped" in order to not show us all their cards.
Move on.
