Yes, me too, but I'm a racing nut, but for your average Joe Gamer who isn't a big GT fan, in a few weeks the hype will be gone for these people, who are probably the biggest market for Sony.

When gameplay videos start appearing, it's basically like the game is out, which it kind of is, so holding off for a big launch party type thing makes no sense, if the games are in the shops stockrooms get them on the shelves......

Your average joe gamer isn't here on this site every second of their waking day just gagging for news either. If people want the game they will get it regardless of whatever leaks out.

So what GTP members have contact with these two people who have the game?

There are 2 guys on here (I think) who have been providing information. One of them is called "Foxios" or something, and the other has a subaru impreza rally car as his avatar.
 
i need to race...i have been playing GT5 P today and now F1 2010 in valencia...one race at 20% and if my girlfriend let me i´ll be back :P

its the ferrari f10. the ferrari f1 car of this year. you can tell because of the santander logo on the front winglets. ferrari just got santander sponsorship this year.
 
Will be interesting to race with the Ferrari F2007 against the F10...

If Amar is saying 24, the only realistic date is November 24th!!!

There isnt any delivery possibilities if it were December 24th, which large online retailers would crucify Sony for, if that happened.

Just two weeks tomorrow!!! suits me fine :)

I can resist watching stolen Youtube'd videos for just 15 days.

Nah December 24th is crazy... Not even Sony can be so stupid after the game get leaked... But who knows, thats Sony...

i would think they would race quite similar.

f2007: high downforce, grooved tires
f10: medium downforce, slick tires

There's no way Sony would announce GT5 15 days before it goes on sale. They need much more time to advertise, ship, and promote it before launch. 24 probably refers to the time before they announce the release date in NYC.
 
Amar is in Croatia, so probably Nov 24th in EU and Nov 23 in US
 
24th November would make me a very happy guy!
Will sony be able to make me this happy after all?

November is definitely out of the question. No big release will hit the shops two weeks after a release date is (as yet still not) announced. It'll be a month away at the very least.
 
You guys are funny going on about this guy saying 24. Yes it could mean 24 hours, the 24th of any month in any year, 24 days, weeks or months and as pointed out he does not say what "it" is so there is no way he can be wrong. Typical.

Over the last few days I have thought the 30th was more and more likely but I was stuck on the 23rd before all the sites started showing 30th.

The 23rd makes the most sense for a US release which would be the 24th in an other location. At this point I would say he has a 50/50 chance of being right on it being released somewhere in the world on the 24th of Nov but that is far from being impressive.

Still think theyre simply being conservitave with announcing the date to us plebs! They'll only probably tel us once they are ALL in place to deliver to customers, just so NOTHING can stop that date... I dont think they think we could bear another delay, even if it was tiny...
