Just to be clear, we can't and don't want to stop people talking about the release date, but what we won't accept is people claiming they have an 'official' date or claim that they know the release date based on unofficial sources (such as retailers) or pure speculation.

Why people continue to post unconfirmed placeholder dates like they discovered the Holy Grail??

Still though, best bet is 12/31/2010, if you ask me. No confirmed info, just don't think Sony will announce a release date that's less than 4-6 weeks out.

I called them again earlier this morning to have it switched to express shipping (which would make it ship within 5 days) and they told me that it would ship out on the 23rd. So they don't actually have it. Or if they do they aren't allowed to sell it until the 23rd.

No. The thread title was changed simply to be more concise. Obviously, the very point of having a thread at all is to allow discussion.

Right cheers, in that case, Ive got a feeling we will get the release date as a surprise, like a day early, similar to the release of the PS slim..

Id rather have a release date in advance though.
 
Have the menu for wheels been shown? I am very curious to see if the G27 is listed in the setup menu.

Seriously guys, keep the piracy stuff to yourselves. You're breaking the AUP.

As it stands, this thread deserves to be locked and only mods should be able to post news.

Sony will probably announce the date after NFS hot pursuit is out, that is probably the real reason for the delay.

As for those who are interested in accessing or how/where to access pirated material, that is against our Acceptable Usage Policy and will not be tolerated.
