Honestly are you guys purposefully ignoring the moderators and trying to get this thread perminantly locked?

Shout-outs to other members, comments about the size of the thread or when it will pass a certain page number, or other assorted uselessness are not required, and the same rules apply to this thread as they do to the rest of the forums.

Do the wipers on the car vary their speed according to the rain? Seems to me that they are really fast in that Monza vid-it would be really cool if you could control the speed of the wipers (well it would be cool to me!)

I also noticed this. I thought maybe they vary their speed depending on how hard the rain is or maybe how fast the car is travelling.

No retailer I spoke to had stock of GT5 in warehouse, so not sure how they expect to get it out in less than 2 weeks!

I think they do... Well it would make sense, the ones at the start of the weather trailer werent that fast, and the ferrari that only had one wiper had it going really slowly... So its different for each car, that we can tell..

In one of the videos you can see the wipers stop as the car goes under a tunnel, then start again as the rain hits the windshield at the other end. I would guess they auto-detect the amount of rain and speed up/ slow down accordingly.

Hopefully the player controls the wipers. It makes no sense for them to turn off automatically for entering a tunnel.

Anyone have an idea if you can use the game on two separate PSN accounts? Both me and my wife like to play it, and im getting the SE, but considering shes not playing nearly the same amount as I am, is it possible to just get 1 copy? Redeem codes on my PSN, and just play normally on hers?

I know it usually is no problem, but lately more games have 1 PSN account restrictions, FIFA etc.

I hope you can, I have 2 accounts which I use (online & career). I can't see why they would put such a restriction in. Like you said people have family members who will want their own account but will not buy multiply copies, time will tell.

Don't see your problem with my post ... it was tweeted by PS-blog-EU 15min ago ... so its news to me ... and ... not off topic... its related to printing BlurayDiscs... so those productionlines are no longer printing GT5 discs

Has anyone noticed if this also happens with headlights when entering tunnels?

Oh? So the automatic wipers on my car that turn off automatically if it's raining and I enter a tunnel are nonsense? OK.

And they maybe didn't even stamp any GT5 discs to beggin with..

stamping in done as we seen in countries :) Made in Australia etc..

Seems a bit weird they forgot about that detail, while thinking about all the other small details. :p Not that I'm bothered with it, it still looks amazing in the rain.

I usually had the same with my EA games fx. but thats not possible anymore somehow. So i want to be sure that i can have the bonus cars on my account. My wife wants to start with the PSP cars etc, but i wont. So i hope someone can clarify if we need buy two copys (not that it would be a problem, just slightly annoying hehe)

But you mentioned the Sly Collection, which has NOTHING to do with GT5.

It is interesting how everytime this thread gets locked for cleaning, someone ALWAYS has fail at reading what the mods have said and do exactly what they warned against. Seriously....knock it off, guys. I like this thread and I want to see it hit 4000 pages/80,000posts.
 
For the mirror view they only make a single image for efficiency, it's the same image that gets mapped to wing mirrors as well. If it was realistic you'd be able to see parts of the window frame in the mirror too. I don't think any game does this yet. Edit: ok iRacing does.

Yep that's what my car does, varies the wiper speed depending on conditions. Lights come on and off depending on light level also. If I went in a tunnel in the rain in my car the wipers would stop and the headlights would come on. Cool feature if it's implemented in GT5.
 
I still think (and hope) GT5 will be the best racing game ever but... on the Parabolica, tyres screeching like that on wet tarmac...
It makes you wonder what makes Kaz tick. :lol:
