So it´s like the older GT game´s but with updated grapics and other cars basically ??

What exactly were you expecting? Aliens and UFO's ?

It's a racing game, GT4 didn't have weather for a start, damage, dynamic time change, working reverse lights ;) , so how exactly is it like older GT games but with better graphics and other cars?

Seriously, if you're going to troll, at least back it up with a half decent arguement.

graphics - track from Prologue are fine, some new tracks are...ehm.. "strange" Tsukuba for example), but Monza (in rain!!) is totally awesome!

loadingtimes - from begining about 1-2 minuts for race, after installation its better

photomode is fine, like real photograpfing - zoom, size of image, you can export image in jpeg or 3D (for 3D TVs only), place car where you want,...

But still no "wau effect" :// I expected something more... for now its about 80% score

btw my videos you can find here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132225&page=61#post4121870 (from page 61 below)

(sorry for my English, but my active English is pretty poor :-D)

Not sure what could be strange about Tsukuba. It's just grass and road. But thanks for the short impressions. I'm sure you'll begin to appreciate the game more once you're able to delve deeper into the tuning and such 👍

Yeah I also do but even if you come to the news page from gtp, Jordan is posting most of the leaked videos (No offence to Jordan, he´s only doing his job ;) )

I didn't watch most of the videos.
Watched the intro, and was shocked by the first 2'30" seeing not 1 car, after that i gave up watching videos and will keep everything for the game.

As for the several complains:
what the heck do you expect.
All i want to do is drive cars in HD with realistic phyics, i coudn't care less for whipers, horns, turn signals, some shadow glitches, changing rims, colouring my car in purple, putting neons under the car, sucking my thumb....
Fisher-price sell this in a set for 30€ if you want:scared:

Edit :whoo, passed 1000 posts 👍, this thread really put up the post counts lol

I don't know but Tsukuba could be a quickly enhanced version of the GT4 track. The reflections were pretty glitchy on the video of that track too.

Its finally happening!! Kaz finally talking... Commercials and sponsorships being made... I am so effing excited

Are you sure it is shortly and not soon?

Oh yeah one more "soon" thing, and maybe if both Sony and Kaz are basing their announcements on this magical word, "soon" will turn into something new like "very soon" or "shortly", or even (who knows) the release date final announcement

Well it said something about a release date which is always good 👍

Cheech and Chong, nice avatar buddy.

Another day goes by, plenty of forum action but nothing tangible to hang on to. :(

Im not checking in til monday, maybe the atmos will be better then?

Don't forget extensive online features, cockpit view, course maker, kart racing, official NASCAR, WRC and Top Gear licenses and a totally revamped physics engine. I dare ANYONE to point me to a racing sequel that has taken as big a step forward as this.

How do we know they aren't ?

I like your thinking. 👍

that 2 min 50 sec long video of the track selection was just what's available in practice mode. There was obviously a whole heap missing such as Nordshleife for example. There's heaps of the game we haven't seen yet, track and car wise especially. :)

I prefer the human version :)

My translation after living in Japan for the past 11 years

It looks like the release date is going to be announced soon. It gives me the shivers!

More than a decade has passed since i spent a summer in Australia, but from what i remember, XXXX was the beer of choice among the thoroughbred ausies.

Best summer of my life. Stradbroke island, get some.

Too bad the Adelaide V8 street circuit & Bathurst are not part of GT5.

Thank you so much for reminding me of this lap, i remember watching it as a kid live and it's the reason i got into motorsport and sim racing. :)👍

woke up to this hopeful news...looking forward to a release date by tomorrow morning.

This is what I got from KY's tweet
Release date is likely to be announced shortly.

PS some of you guys are putting this thread on the fast track to being locked preminantly. Your too selfish to do as the moderators asked a few times already.

Can we keep this thread on topic please. This thread is supposed to be about news and discussion of the news, not as a general chat thread, or even a chat thread about GT5. Shout-outs to other members, comments about the size of the thread or when it will pass a certain page number, or other assorted uselessness are not required, and the same rules apply to this thread as they do to the rest of the forums.

Random dates posted in the comments of a blog frmo another game are not confirmed release dates.

Now can we continue with the GT5 related news.

This thread is >< that close from being permanently locked. I'm sure you don't want to be the person that causes it, do you...?

Depends on where you are.

XXXX is big in Queensland
Thooeys New is big in NSW
VB is big in Victoria 'although it tastes like rat piss'

However generally no beer is a dominant force. We then have Coopers and Hahn Super Dry which they sell by the pallet, and Carlton Draught which doesn't go down too badly either. Thooeys Extra Dry and Carona's have come on quite strong with us young people as they tend to be very easy beers to drink. Still none of them are as piss weak as Budweiser. How Americans drink that I will never know.
