ok so please correct me if im wrong but under the VW Golf section of the car list it says that Volkswagen Golf IV GTI RM '01 is premium but the Volkswagen Golf IV R32 '03 is standerd. why cant they use the same interior for both cars?

you find that strange, what is the difference between al those S2000's and Skyline's and Evo's. Almost nothing PD could have easely made them al premium.

That shows that the standard models havn't been pollised up at all. Because if its to much work to change the Spec V to M badge on a skyline than to port a GT4 model.

I'm sure you know the R32 has a diff trim.. and different seats as well as other things than the Gti?

Yep, but isnt Easier to model Bumpers, Rims, Logos and some interior Stuff than Modelling a complete car?

Edit: Thought it was the V generation one. the IV gen one is 4 and 2 doors.

Exactly thats what bugs me the most, its such an obvious Copy paste from GT4 that there are even some Cars that are in Both premium and Standard Trim...

Also I think PREMIUM AND STANDARD (PS) means this car were in GTPSP and can be transferred. (i.e. in GTPSP is standard, in GT5 it's premium)

I am under the impression that P/S indicates a car that has a premium model but does not have premium damage. These would have a modeled cockpit but show damage differently than the true premium models.

You've said numerous times these lists are not official when all you needed to do is look on the news page and see they are from the official GT website.

Yes of course, i wanted to take an old volvo 240 and make it to a track car, giving those stock ferrari f430 a hard time =), or even better a Ford Capri with a cosworth engine lightly tuned to 400 hp.
 
i cannot see what all the negativity is about. everyone who says that they are dissapointed with the track or car list are just being spoilt. Kaz is a genius, the game will be brilliant, GT 5 will be nothing short of amazing!

Overall though, with GT5 less than 2 weeks away I expected to feel extremely excited but with the new info I just feel meh...
Could explain in detail why but just don't feel like it today, ah well less than 2 weeks is something positive at least.

I've got some mixed emotions too - I'm very happy that the game finally has a new release date, but on the other hand I'm a little disappointed with the final premium car list. On the bright side, I'm pretty satisfied with the track list - Cape Ring and SSR7 look like a lot of fun! :)

Look at it like this:

You're going shopping, and you grab a cart. Ten seconds later, you realize that you have a car with a wobbly, squeaky wheel.

You never think "Hey, at least I have three good wheels!", it's always, "Damn, I got the busted cart".
 
Just canceled my collectors edition pre order with amazon. Checked it this morning and it said release on Nov 24 and arrival on Jan 4. The weird part is I have 1 day shipping!!! Spoke with someone for an hour and they changed it to Nov 30th. Said screw this I'm not gonna wait out the whole holiday weekend when I could play it a week prior. I now have a Collectors Edition from Best Buy with release day in store pickup.

I preordered from Gamestop, I'm hoping to pick it up Tuesday evening/afternoon because they will get the shipment atleast by late Tuesday. Never preorder online for anything that you absolutely have to have on day 1, because you'll never get it as quick as people who went to the store. Brick and Mortar ftw!

One of the main reasons why I just pick it up in store whenever its available.
 
Stop complaining about a game you haven't played yet. Better yet, stop complaining about a game no one is forcing you to buy.
