I don't understand how or why GT focused so much time on keeping all the old cars. There are so many new cars in the world that GT5 should have came with. Countless Ferrari's, countless Lamborghini's. A PREMIUM Buggati Veyron for god sakes.

With GT6 I hope they throw standards away and only really keep the cars that people have interest in. I was expecting to see more Spoon Sports cars, you know, since they have all new cars in their lineup, and maybe some updates, but only to find the models carried over from GT4 like it would just, smooth over the relevant cars for this generation. Cars that are newer versions from manufactures should have at least been updated, and even THOUGHT of.

I hope we see some serious DLC for GT5, despite how much they say there wouldn't be any. Otherwise GT6 is going to have a very high bar set for when FM4 releases, and the amount of cars they actually have.

So disappointed that Bugatti Veyron is a standard model . :indiff:

to be honest, If you look closely, all of the "newer non GT4 standard model cars" actually look really nice, so do they all to be honest, aside from the wheel modification, I think standards look great, and if you look at the "veyron" it looks as good as anything from GT5P, and I couldn't ask for more, cars with GT5P detail with updated physics of GT5 and the weather system, I'm fine with that.

Hopefully GT5 sells well and PD can spend some money on boosting the staff count, its simply too small for everything they are trying to do.

Quoted for truth! Both has pros and cons.

Changing the chat... no new videos? other than the Subaru @ Monza, Lambo and Audi R8 ones?

i'm really thirsty for more!

Dude when Forza 4 comes out you're gona play it for a lil bit then come running back to GT5. Lets not forget all GT games have an extremely long life and now its online as well. I play a Forza game for 3 weeks then I;m done, just bored stiff of it. I'm gona be playing GT5 for years.

8. 1:18.3 - Bugatti Veyron
11. 1:19.0 - Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce
12. 1:19.0 - Enzo Ferrari
13. 1:19.1 - Ferrari 458 Italia
14. 1:19.5 - Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
17. 1:19.7 - Nissan GT-R
18. 1:19.7 - Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Enzo Ferrari did the lap in 1:19.0? :boggled: He must be the fastest man on the planet then! Of course you mean the Ferrari Enzo :sly:

The thing is that they DIDN'T focus much time on keeping the old cars. They were already designed. It was simple to bring them along.

The premium's took a very long time to model especially because of the damage, since the entire body has to be modeled under the bodywork.

I agree with this, just the cockpit view i'm annoyed with.

The list seems a bit old. Based on Last season's episodes, the top 7 are ..

Buatti Veyron SS 1.16.8
Gumpert 1.17.1
Ascari A10 1.17.3
KonigSegg
Noble M600 1.17.7
Zonda F convertible 1.17.8
Caterham R500 1.17.9

Yeah, I only included cars on the Power Boards that are included in GT5. If you notice, the current place of said car is on the side. We only have the 8th fastest power board leader in the game.

After seen the content of GT5, I was looking for an racing wheel wich supports PS3 and X360... As I´ve seen so far, only fanatec had a wheel that supports both but it seems like it has problems with the PS3...

I want to play FM3 too after seeing the car and tracklist... Also I need a good wheel because there are way better wheels out there than the DFP :)

Try the Fanatec Porche Turbo S wheel - it works on both the Ps3, 360 & PC

No issues with my PWTS and PS3 - whatsoever.

Great purchase when coupled with the Clubsport pedals !

Not to mention the time they spent designing the new tracks, weather and day/night plus the new physics engine. In GT6 they will have a lot more time to create new cars. GT3 and GT4 also on a new system went from 185 cars to 763. That's quite an increase.

Probably changing at least 200 standard models into premium models. 👍

Oh no! Gran Turismo doesn't have my favorite car. Let me just CRY about it.

HURP DERP It's not really Gran Turismo 5. It's 4.
HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Everyone needs to stop complaining.

Seriously.
👍

But not everybody is at it, there are a good few happy souls out there. I went online with Prologue this afternoon, and the atmosphere was good, even the few bashers were being gentle :)

'Tis true though, surprising how many are acting like Gods of Bwaaarh!

I agree with you 100% I'm just astonished how people are shocked at the car list knowing majority of the cars in GT PSP where coming to GT5. I'm so pumped for this game man, the Demo was really good to me, GT5 is going to be huge!

Powerboard list was copied from Wikipedia. I then went through it top to bottom with the Official Car list. Also, look at the official car list. What is it listed as? "Ferrari Enzo Ferrari". I've always known the Enzo to be the Enzo Ferrari. So, no I didn't mean "Ferrari Enzo." 👍

The way I think of the standards are as a bonus. The premiums outnumber the cars in almost every racing game, and they're incredibly well modeled, with ridiculously full damage and everything.

The other 800+ standards are just the icing on the cake. They could've left them out, but it was so easy to just bring them along from previous games that you might as well.

Now to keep their face they HAVE to make over 1200 Premium cars (bear in mind that still at least 200-300 of them will be clones (like 50 Skylines etc.) so it's ~900 cars to model for GT6 (plus 2 times more tracks than in GT5).

They should not only switch the current cars into Premiums, but they have a lot of catching up to do with current models in the range (if they aren't outdated by the time they finish with GT6)

Exactly. They didn't have to give them to us. They didn't between GT2 (593 cars) and GT3 (185). I mean let's face it, no one is going to be completely satisfied until every car ever made is in the game. I know I won't. But I also know that that isn't going to happen any time soon, so I deal with what I'm given and am happy about it. 👍
