i can not find any thread about new race series suggestions and i have not enough posts to make a new thread are there a thread where you can do that

Today i call my retailer that i pre-order the Signature,cause i didnt see any update about the release date after the official announce..and they told me they know about it.. BUT they will have it at Dec.......they dont even tell me a date or something...

actually it is only 27 tracks in various iterations, same for the cars, all we're saying is that some old favourites like seattle could be added later. nothing wrong with that, is there

I played only GT 5 Prologue, so for me its fine...

1000 cars, of which 800 are PS2-gen quality carryovers from GT4/PSP, and of which half are padded models (repeats).

70 tracks = 28 properly unique tracks, for a total of 53 unique variations (of which several differ for very minor changes), excluding reverse ones which are not different layouts.
 
This game seems to me a bit old-fashioned! I am very disappointed, that there is no DBS...to mention just one car i was looking for.

ofc the premium and standard cars are on the same disk...


but if you wanna wash your car in the game you have to use the wash car disk

You get both on all versions of the game. Don't worry.:)
 
Is it true standard cars have no interior at all? I thought standard cars would have interior but very cheap and basic?
 
Oy vey.. Will the whining never end? In case you guys didn't notice, GT2 had tracks and cars from GT1 carried over. Same thing from GT2 to GT3 and so on.. so, it should be no surprise that there are same cars and tracks as in the previous games. grow up, get a spine, stop bawling because the world didn't fulfill your expectations.

Sheesh, kids these days.. They take everything granted..
 
Just a quick question, kind of got missed yesterday in the hysteria, joy and whinging.

Is Gran Turismo TV coming back for GT5? i quite liked this addition in prolouge, some interesting documentaries. be kinda cool if they had a weekly race series update from highlights from all over the world in various disciplines, so what happened in nascar, wrc, dtm, F1, WTCC, etc.

Even the standard cars have been re-done to increase the detail level, the last info' I read from DP said that the standard cars would have higher detail than GT5P cars (but Ican't find it anyone?)

What was all that about TopGear TV ? Will we be able to see Top Gear clips in HD or something ? I remember something about that.

No they don't, they are the same cars as in GT4 but look a little bit better thanks to higher res, AA and the lighting engine.
 
Probably not of much interest outside of Australia and New Zealand but I had hoped they would have included more of our local cars, or at least put current models in.

2004 Holden SSV and Glen Setons AU Falcon V8supercar are a bit outdated now.

The VE was Holdens billion dollar baby, I would thought it would be in for sure.

And the Vodafone BA/BF Falcon was menacing in our local racing scene.

And what about the V8 Utes? Maloo, SS-V, XR8, FP6 Typhoon etc! So much fun to be had, especially in the wet...

Oh well, thanks anyway PD. Can't wait to fire this up.

nothing to write home about, same old same old, couple of cool gameplay video's etc.

Unfortunately it's not the case. Mind you, Standard cars do look better than they did in GT4 due to higher screen resolution and better lighting, but their 3D model and textures are essentially remained the same. The detail difference is quite noticeable.

But this is matter for the Standard vs Premium car thread.
It's been discussed more in detail there.

Not informed is the better answer.

Here's one from the GameStop forums.

Question: Pardon my ignorance but what do you mean by "premium". We have to pay for them as DLC or something?

Answer: yes $1 per car...it sucks doesn't it

Reply to answer: OK, I'm still confused. Someone said they're a $1 DLC, which can't possibly be true. That means you have to spend over $200 to get all the cars. So once again, what are these premium cars you're referring to??

Smart asses don't help the situation any. 👎

As has been mention many,many, many times in this thread and others the premium cars and standard cars are both on the disc, the premiums are vastly higher quality and have detailed cockpits, the standards are cars ported over from GT4, they look reasonable but have no cockpits. There is nothing extra to pay for, as of yet there hasn't been any official mention of DLC of any sort, all the premium cars are already on the disc.

The standar cars in gt5 have been totaly redone... In gt4 the used texture for details but in gt5 all details are modeled and has no texture... Just color.. :)
 
The AC Cobra they give on Collector Edition is also a Standard??? :scared:
