The standar cars in gt5 have been totaly redone... In gt4 the used texture for details but in gt5 all details are modeled and has no texture... Just color.. :)

They are the same models, the race cars even have the same low res textures.

if you get a few quiet moments sometime could you start a new moaners thread so we can read the new info and discussions without having to go through all the whiners, it's making me feel like booking a room at a Swiss clinic. All these poor people with their lives ruined and no future! Sob.....it is just so.....so sad.

jeez this Thread has jumped over 40 Pages since the Release Announcement and a Lot of it is People Whining

Gran Turismo isn't Forza , N.F.S , Juiced , Midnight Club or any of those Games where you can Pimp an Bling your Ride its a "DRIVING SIMULATOR"

For Someone who have been through the Entire Series , i'm looking forward to the Updated Graphics and Physics 👍

GT goes way back to 1998 and gathering from some of the crap people are whinging about i'm thinking a lot of people havn't been through the whole series

It's not a Game you can rip though in a few Hours/Days/Weeks it takes Months to get through it

A Legit 100% Game Completion is one of the hardest things to achieve , Other Drving Games don't come close to the Satisfaction of that Acheivement , simply because they don't have the Playability that makes you won't to come back to the Game time and time again .

Theres a lot of People who actually Complete the Earlier GT Series then after a while they start it all over again , its addictive

Then theres the Online side to it with all the fun that involves not to mention the fact that unlike the big clunky XBOX (oh I do Own One before you think this is a Slur) you don't pay a Subscription fee to go online and have hours of fun with your friends

Finally Whining about a Game thats not even been Released ?

Play the Game if you Buy it then pop back and tell everyone what you think , rather than just looking at what's missing

That's a pretty good point actually. That and the E3 '09 Trailer also featured the Mazda 787B and some other car racing along a runway at dusk, there was another one also with a business jet (same one maybe..? can't remember). Maybe they had plans for day/night transition for the Top Gear Test Track but dropped it - like a deleted scene from a movie.

I find this strange too. i mean there has been plenty of disscussion here over the weeks about appearances/non-existent features. I guess my question would be what would cause them to leave the 787B out? i mean if its in past vids would that not imply it was in a build of the game? my other question relates to a previous post, and that is: have PD ever released a full car list pre-release before? its a longshot hoping for "suprises" in the car department but they dont seem like the company to give away everything, however, the carlist does fit with what has been promoted in terms of the numbers of cars in the game.

im not complaining, im just curious, surely others feel the same, i know il love the game either way.

But i for one really just car about the cars and their physics.

The resolution is better so no more "stairs" in the edges, and better than GT:TT physics.
And 1031 cars with those physics.

I will try out each of this 1031 cars, at least for one lap.
And if it takes 5 years to do that. I will

If you wanna compare it to forza, play forza with the subby physics and non 900° steering...

Fire up GT5P to overcome the hysteria....

Answer: yes $1 per car...it sucks doesn't it

Reply to answer: OK, I'm still confused. Someone said they're a $1 DLC, which can't possibly be true. That means you have to spend over $200 to get all the cars. So once again, what are these premium cars you're referring to??

This is what really grinds my gears about this game. I am not a GT hater at all. I've owned all the games including Concept, and I know what PD are like, but with this game I think the hidden two-tier nature the content is going to catch many buyers off guard, for shame.

If GT5 were a bag of nuts, it would be 3 times bigger than anything else on the shelves, with only perfectly formed Brazils, Almonds, Walnuts pictured and described on the packet. Once opened, you discover 80% of the weight is salted peanuts. Enjoy.

I believe every car has cockpit view, but many of those cockpit views are roughly the same thing. In other words, a few cars have the exact same cockpit as their real life counterpart, but some cars just have a normal cockpit. We should be lucky we get 200 cars with their actual cockpit view, and not 800 cars with a standard and common cockpit view.

In forza 3 every car has a cockpit view, but the realization of some of them is terribly poor ;)

however i love turn10 game :D

If you look at the details of GT5 objectively, you will see why people are disappointed. But, you and your chum, "Hawkmoon", want to play the 'Sergeant Major tough guy role'. In fact, both the car and track list do not live up to expectation, if you disagree with this you are either:
a) wildly delusional
b) a blinkered Yamauchi sycophant
c) a person that knows nothing about cars
d -most likely) all of the above

I'm looking at this objectively, I think people have reason to moan and be disappointed. It was reasonable to expect F50, E30 M3, Zonda F plus tracks such as Apricot Hill and El Capitan which formed the cornerstone of previous GT series. After a while, most people will stop moaning and enjoy the game, while people that like moaning about everything will continue to moan. But, the initial disappointment of the lack of tracks is still here, remember it is less than 24 hours since the list was published, so I suggest you climb down of your high horses and give people a few days settle down and accept there are aspects of the game that they don't like, instead continuing your pathetic pontificating over all and sundry.

The 787b is in the game. I got it as a pre-order bonus. Don't know if there are other ways to get it though..

ok i might be misinformed but isnt the pre-order bonus 787b the stealth version? the e3 trailer had the original paint job, the orange and green.
