Whats a stig?

Edit: Rolling start in GT is getting kind of old as a racer I want to be some one of the line.
Rolling start=CAR Standing start=DRIVER

Well that would be pretty accurate, actually. It would be ignorant to assume it's the best at everything driving game related.

Incase nobody noticed I was 100% on about my prediction of release date and marketing strategy for Sony. Thank you very much. With that aside I'm sick of alot of the bitching going on in these threads. This is the bottom line:
GT5 is a DRIVING SIMULATOR

This is a game where the act of driving can be experienced to the fullest. That is why we have all these modes, and they're structured the way they are. The way you should look at it is like a good Flight Simulator. You can fly many different planes yet the experiences aren't as in depth as they are in "boutique-genre" games. For example - People usually don't bitch when you can't have full war-time dogfights in Flight Simulators, just like folks who play Ace Combat don't bitch that they can't fly a 747.

We can drive exotics, normals, nascar, f-1 cars, rally cars, Go-Karts, etc. All of these modes will offer as close to the real-life the experience of DRIVING that type of car. Enjoy it for what it is, experiencing DRIVING!!

If you want a full Nascar experience, go buy a Nascar Game.
If you want a full F-1 game, go buy F-1.
If you want an arcade racer, go buy Need 4 Speed
If you want more Go-Karts, go buy Mario Kart.

In France, our biggest retailer is a real crook (Micromania to not saying his name).
There's 3 versions of the Game standard 70 €, collector 80 € and signature 180€.

They send me an e mail saying that even for preorder, the dlc code will not be available for standard. We must buy the collector to obtain the mclaren f1 and the nissan gt 500.

That's all.

Well, I don't quite agree. Rallying in GT will be more realistic than CMR Dirt I think. Road driving will be more realistic than NFS series. F1....I don't know I don't really play F1 games. Karts.....who cares? It can't get any less realistic than (hail the game though) Mario Kart.

As an XBOX lover and fan (NOT FAN BOY) this guy is an a** hole I love FORZA3 but just on the fact that GT has night and weather racing I will be playing my PS3 a little bit more now PS3 MOVE and now GT5. Take it from me Forza4 will come back next year strong and most likely top GT5 and when GT6 comes out I would expect nothing less form them to try and top FORZA4

None of that matter if you enjoy playing the games. It only matters to Sony and Microsoft because they want you to buy their game. Doesn't matter if you back Sony or Microsoft.

I love Forza 3 with the Xbox Controller and I'm looking forward to getting my DFGT out for the first time on the 24th!! Enjoy the games that what counts!!! 👍

I personally think that Sony should bring in another sister company to PD to produce a specific WRC Rally or Tour Cars or Nascar or GO Kart game with the physics created by PD.

They could then over lap the time lines between games. Not a game once a year like Guitar Hero or COD.

Ahh sorry didn't know we were comparing GT5 to other sims, I thought just with other racing genre games.

I personally buy my games on zavvi.com. It's often cheaper and quicker than play.com.

But for GT i'm afraid of the game is not in my langage if i import it. Besides, if i buy it in a "real" store, i can have it with monday, maybe saturday if i'm lucky.

Yep, maybe it's time for PD to become really bigger in order to make the games quicker or give even more content.

But somehow Gran Turismo is magic because there's a new game not very often.

I believe that if GT 5 makes a lot of money something will change. Sony will probably demand to have more games, more dlcs, for more money.

I honestly rather have sony give pd more funding and so they can hire more peoples, get GT6 out quicker with much more contents. Having a sister studio or team will just create competition between the two sides and we won't necessary benefit from that competition (rushing games out to meet dead lines, and to not overlap with each other's releases, comparisions made between the two studio/group and one end up being favored)

Kazunori has said, repeatedly, that he wants GT to be "an encyclopaedia of cars". Encyclopaedias cover all variations.

When a quarter of the cars are the same model (248 Nissan Skylines)

Even if there were 248 Nissan Skylines, they aren't the same model any more than a C1 Corvette is the same model as a C6 Corvette. I'll grant you there are a lot of... encyclopaedic entries to the car list, but it is absolutely nowhere near as many as people would like to repeatedly pretend it is.

Where is the Cadillac CTS-V with its 556hp LSA?

How do you know PD got the licence to include it and access to model it? If, for whatever reasons, they didn't manage one or the other, it's not in the game (and, along with "I've never heard of it", they will be the primary reasons for any car's absence).

I can keep going with these examples.

I think its much easier than make new cars. So I think nothing was wasted.
