Why is that?

Because if you did, you'd be delighted at the prospect of being able to race against a thousand different cars, instead of worrying that some aren't going to look as amazing as other ones.

And? We're talking about THIS generation. EA and Codemasters are exaggerating their games in trailers. We all know how underwelming these recent games resulted.

The first Shift on a decent PC looked terrific--particularly the in car views which, on pc at least, looked better than GT5P interiors. The console versions of Shift weren't as good looking.

Hopefully they can adjust the handling model for Shift2 --specifically the steering input and feel. I think the series has very good promise and the 2nd one (after getting the basic engine in place with number 1) should show us if they can realize that potential.

And PD don't, the damaged Subaru Imprezza rally car was just my imagination was it.
But then again PD don't need trailers to outright lie about their game, they can do that perfectly by word of mouth.
And they were underwhelming to you, many people actually enjoy playing Gid, Dirt and NFS, as shocking as that may seem.

What...I never saw "faked" damage in any GT5 trailer. The Subaru had the same damage we saw in playable demos. And when did they lie to us? As far as I know, most of the time it was just misinterpretation, and bad PR.

I could guarantee that if we all started playing GT 1 on the Saturday,GT 2 Sunday ,GT 3 on Monday ,GT 4 On Tuesday then played GT 5 on Wednesday there would be at least two third of the complainers in here tight lipped

Whay did I write in my last comment?

Games. I'm not talking just about graphics.
Racing and realism experience. I'm not talking about blurry effects or shaking steering wheels.

Yeah I definitely chose the wrong words.

We saw doors flying off in a demo!
Yes, doors in perfect condition just flying off the cars becasue they want to make it on their own:)

Even if that E3 trailer that first showed damage in game was ACTUALLY in game, we still haven't seen damage as close to realistic as that since,
Not to mention the abundance of filters used in the trailers to make them look better.

Well they can't easily demostrate good physics in a trailer, and anyway the trailer does exactly what its supposed to, tease as to whats coming in Shift 2.

Shift ,while looking better than gt (well not the car exteriors) ON PC, looks like trash on consoles.

All the pc version has over gt is higher res, better textures, ACTUAL MOTION BLUR while racing (just in replay for gt) and better AA.
Aka everything that's expected from a pc game.

The initial trailers which were supposed to be ingame looked a thousand times better than the game turned out to really look.
I have shift on pc and I never play it because the physics are just bizarre, the only way to make that game remotely playable is with the physics gt mod, which just adjusts grip and weight, suspension still feels like it's just not there at all.

Long story short:this shift trailer is ********, just like the shift 1 trailer (and just like gt photomode 'screenshots' and many of the trailer fragments)

lol. Nice. Instead of the series laid out over 13 years, do it in days.

Theres a lot of people talking about the features, track and what not missing from the verison those few lucky people are playing as we speak and saying that why did they not include them and it looks half finished.

Just wondering, could the rest of the code, Damage etc upgrades come along in a day 1 patch... obviously the people that stole copies wouldnt get that patch as it wouldnt be live, thus they are infact playing what people call a half finished game.

I personally think the game looks greats, looks exciting, and I cant wait to play the game as it is... but if there is a patch on day one giving the game even more stuff then I think I may very well die with happiness :D

True, but as I've already said...we all know how underwelming these recent games resulted, even after EA explained who developed the physics of Shift.

But we're going a bit too far, I just wanted to show the similarities between in-game features of GT5 and the most recent teaser by EA, not to start another game war.

I dont know if this exists in the game, but it would be nice if that in career mode, as the car gets damaged, it stays damaged until you deal with it, and would be nice if that wasnt free.

Like if you break something in the engine or on the body, just like in real life you need to pay to get it fixed, or you can choose to just ride it out through the next race if its still semi-working.

Thats the level of realism I was hoping for with GT5. Anyone know if the game works like this?

Fair enough, consider the issue dropped.

Of course it's all a pre-rendered cr..p, as always. I posted it just to show how pathetic EA is.

Explain how EA are pathetic?

Because they're also trying to make a "realistic" game?

GT5 isn't the be all and end all of racing games. The more the merrier. Shift was fun. Shift 2 will be fun.

Show me a teaser trailer that isn't pre-rendered.

Szmissz I knew you were not lying lets see some pictures of the difference of tuning a premium car and tuning a standard car

I wonder, that copy looks exactly like what Sony had said we'd be getting (colour box and all), but the earlier leaked copies that have been used to supply us with videos over the past few days were black&white, and looked very odd.

Makes me wonder if the 'review copy, missing features' quote holds some weight.

I think the NA version is in color, Europe B&W, I think.

can you guys who have the retail version tell me ,
How many days was it that you were Kaz's Bitches for he says in jealous manner

...If i preorder from play.com will it arive to my house on the 24th if i live in america
Not sure if PAL region games can play reliably on a machine in the US (unless it's a PAL region PS3 too). I'd suggest a web check first to see if it's possible, or even advisable.

As to Play delivering, as far as I know, they'll deliver anywhere a customer wants, but it might take a while to deliver.

Sorry I couldn't be more positive.
