give this guy 6 months and he can create a masterpiece far beyond Kaz's dreams

some say he's already playing GT6 inside his helmet, and that if he were to develop GT7 single handedly, from scratch, for next generation consoles...it would take him 7 days...👍

Demand has always pushed technology and for that matter humankind ahead. I guess you would be pretty happy to be living in the middle ages.
I'm mostly mad at what they promised and failed to deliver.

You're 100% sure you saw the final version already? Don't judge until you have it!

thx mate! so it looks like no reviews before the release! does this happen because GT5 is such a massive product!? i'm used to read reviews before the game releases!

I think it is happening because they dont want the negative parts of reviews being blown out of proportion before the majority of games are sold (just my oppinion)

I don't know, but my best guess would be that they're rushing the game since they missed the deadline they had before the delay...

A review would just make the wait even more unbearable for me;)

the closer we get, the slower the clock goes hehe!

What the **** are you talking about? 100 aren't working for you. They've been working for the millions SONY is going to profit from this game.

You are from USA? :) Do you know what is "work for pleasure"? If you find your way - your will find such job.

First of all if they were working for money - they'd better to work for someone else. It's a "fun" factor. Those people want to change the world - show you something good.Money it's like an tool for them. With money they can do it's work just better. It's not the same as working for money.Almost opposite.

But if you say this to T10 - I can believe that it's almost true.Japanese aren't like that. They are (mostly) more "deep" and open minded people - especially when it comes to computer games.

That's actually the only thing I'm willing to listen to. There's a tiny miny chance things get unlocked at release date.

If you expected PD to put super cars on some lofty pedestal, then i'm not sure why you expected that because PD has never done that in the past.

If you actually read what I wrote I didn't mention or suggest more supercars (of which there are enough for now), just a better balanced representation of all categories.
Yes I questioned the Suzuki Cervo, not because it's a small Kei car but because it isn't really an iconic or brand new one, it could be included lastly in a hypothetical full line-up if it were a new car Suzuki wished to include but the fact it already appeared in Prologue means it probably was one of the first Premium cars modelled.
If you know beforehand you could only model roughly 200 Premium cars the Suzuki Cervo isn't a car which sounds logical to include in the final and limited selection (even for PD) when a lot of more obvious candidates (including a large amount of humdrum cars a lot of us like) are still Standard.

like what... ? please what havn't they delivered. the game has 200 premium cars, that roughly the same as grid, dirt 2, and shift and f1 2010 have all together. Cars of both premium and standard variations, have a very high visual quality, has do the tracks. it has 7 more tracks than its nearest ps3 rival (this doesn' include varirtions).

it has a updated physics model, a brand new online mode, GTTV, 1000 cars in total, a deep and extensive history of cars and manufacturs, tuning, arcade mode, up to 16 cars on a race track, day night cycle on a few tracks (on grid had day night on one event), weather on some tracks- grid, shift didnt have weather. a random course generator.

and we havnt seen what the game has to offer yet either in its full glory. so whats damn important that they missed. KD have made a game out of passion for cars, they have spent 5 years making light of a dream, and only hardware and disk space is limiting the game as what Kaz wants it to be.

how can you moan, the game isn't out, you can't preconcieve how it will meet your expectations, and as others posted its only a game in the end. there much more to life than that.

edit: see a post a few above as well that includes alot more features than what i have mentioned. some people don't deserve to be alive. seriously.

I've found my way and I work for both money and pleasure. It's pretty damn sure they're working for pleasure since they take 6 months to model a single car. That's way tooo long. I've been modeling cars and I model all day long.
We waited them long enough to get their fun, the problem is what we get out of that.

Do you have to get ripped to demand more for your money? You should be happy you're so easily satisfied.

In the same way of thinking, you should be sad in all of your life pal! 👎

It is a game which for 50E/40£ will keep you enjoying it for years if you like driving! Isn't it of much value for us to be satisfied? 👍

I would gladly have ALL cars "standard" if that doubled, or tripled the amount of cars in coming GT games ;)

I like your style.

Skimmers should take 30 seconds to read this.

it's their art, it's their passion...just compare the statements that Kaz makes compared to those that spew out of Turn 10s mouths especially their claims back in e3 09....kaz is filled with passion and love, just look at the way he works..the man's a machine running 24/7, does teh research, gets connections, go into the heart of teh motorsport world to experience it for himself so he relay that feedback better to his audience...in the first GT he only went home about a week or so in total out of a 5 or 7 year development period, i'm not kidding too lazy to look for the link, find it yourself if you don't believe me

these are the reasons why I have faith that PD will forever deliver excellence in whatever they do

Discshop (Finnish retailer) is said to have already sent copies of GT5 to some customers. Stories are now on two different Finnish gaming forums. It's interesting to say the least. 👍

I think it is happening because they dont want the negative parts of reviews being blown out of proportion before the majority of games are sold (just my oppinion)

?? every game company wants to sell big time! so there would be no game with a prior release review if thats true! doesnt make sense to me.

I don't know, but my best guess would be that they're rushing the game since they missed the deadline they had before the delay...

hm. agree on the last sentence! ;)

amazon germany doesent accept any new pre-orders of the standard edition, only via resellers... i think they have reached the limit of order capacity. normal prize was 54€, resellers starts at 70€.. this is a sign to be the games of the games for the ps3 :D

You're actually living in the age of GT4. The things you mentioned may be new to the GT series (OMG it has online!!!), but games that take less than half the time needed for gt5 to be made do pretty much better in many areas. All the things you listed are bound to be in a game in 2010.
We were promised the "real driving simulator", the ultimate racing game and we get half-baked damage, square cars, 180 premium cars, 70 of which we had in 2008. We don't get hood cam, the track list is plain unsatisfying, I don't even want to count how many identical nissan's there are. INVISIBLE WALLS. Indestructible tape fence. I can't believe the engine upgrades are called stage 1, stage 2. Just like in NFS. You can't even change the rims on the square Gt4 cars.

I'm not complaining about the money I have to pay. It's the way they promise things and actually lie, it's the 5 years of waiting and multiple delays after which everyone is hyped and expects much more.

P.S. I'm going home.

There are plenty of cars in GT games that aren't iconic though. I don't really think that being iconic is a criteria, at least it's not what Kaz said it a criteria. According to him they pick cars based on 3 things, cars they want, cars fans want and cars that manufacturers want. PD's a Japanese developer, so obviously Japanese manufactures would be contacting them a lot about which cars they'd like to see featured in the series. Is something like the Cervo a strange choice? I guess so. But then again I think that's expected from the series. The car selection in GT games have always been much more unique than what you see in other games.

Exactly,ell470.
You must bear in mind Jordan92 that not all country's get the 307cc or peugeot for that matter.

True... he is american :)
