Until someone has completed the game 100% unlocked, only then we will know whether or not what we have speculated so far are true.
 
Just been to EBgames Garden City and asked about the Midnight Release .... Not happening. Apparently EBgames as a whole isn't selling enough pre-orders so they dont have the need to open at midnight...

Yeah i asked as well but no go. JB Hifi are doing them in Sydney, Melbourne, Tassie and maybe Adelaide but not Brisbane. JB Hifi

EB Games is owned by GameStop. GS sales would count as EB Game sales. And there are plenty of GS stores having midnight launches. It's probably just your store that isn't selling enough pre-orders.

Glad i booked thursday, friday off work. Guess i will be at Garden City Ebgames at 9am to get in there and get home as soon as possible.

Glad i have a 2 min drive to get home.

I even mentioned to the guy at EBgames that i have the Signature Edition on order.

Is there a minimum amount of required free disc space on the PS3 for GT5? Or recommended minimum?

I've had mine for a while and I almost certainly skimped on the HDD. I might need to revisit that before next week...

full install is 6.4gb, i'd have 10gb free shold be ok.
 
I found this pretty interesting. The first image is purportedly to be real time render from T10 current development (and was shown at this year's E3 during Kinect presentation). Some people dismissed the real-time claim. Compare that to what is GT5 actual photomode's 458 (the second image). Both are amazing although we know one of them is real or will be (more real) sometime next week.

I thought 2 player split screen was on the main arcade menu - far right

I know we will get split screen even if it's not on the game to start with it will be a patch after all it was on the uk prologue
 
Anyone knows if laptimes will be saved like GT1, so that we will know our best course and best lap times?

The Forza pic isn't from any game...and they cheated...worse that they do for FM3's photomode. They used a laser scanning program. Similar to what other games use to map out terrains. Technically, it's a real car, and absolutely nothing the 360 could handle if it was moving. The PS3 would struggle dealing with those kinds of graphics.

real time ?! even ground textures are totally different from realtime E3 show ! I doubt that next gen consoles can make that graphics !

This is probably crazy old and I'm a horrible, horrible person for posting it but I'm sorry - this video just cracks me up. :) The music emphasizes just how relaxed the GT5 driver model is careening around Tokyo at racing speeds. (good stuff starts 35 seconds in)

Sony confirmed earlier that it wasn't delayed, so it's still coming the 24th.

Just what I was thinking, plus I'm glad PD did waste there time doing something like this with Playstation Eye. It just looks a bit Wii like, but im not to clued up on Kinect. Anyway I can't imagine playing GT5 with Move controllers that I don't have.

Me: I have a question, are you guys having a midnight release for Gran Turismo 5?
G.A.: Don't know yet. We usually know a week before the game gets released.
Me: The game is slated for release next week.
G.A.: ...............Oh I didn't know.

If we don't have a midnight release, then I'm just gonna get my money back and go to walmart and buy mine.
