I don't want to create another thread but is the PSN down for anyone else at the moment? error: 80023017

Yes its down for me also...perhaps there will be some new GT 5 promotion related content added with update :)

EDIT: So its Maintenance? Hmmm...wonder why :)

I guess the answer to this is known, in so, I am sorry for asking .

I found this nice video from Prologue, showing model detail and the games amazing lighting off and at times it slaps you in the face with realism. The question is which level of detail would this car represent in GT5? Is it a full on premium or a standard or somewhere in between?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW66fvPIHFg&feature=related

Pretty much a touch below premium. Far superior to Standard.

I don't know if I'm talking rubbish (too much GT5 talk), but I think hidden from the car list are all the race modified cars, so it looks like more that 1300 (my guess) models from PD. Not all premium can be race modified hence the rough guess.

To try and make some sense here is a link that probably has been posted before (super sorry to the OP), but I need to post it to back up my silly little thought. (Thinking about GT5 too much will do this to you) check out 1.03 in the video.

All the leaked videos seem to be coming from Europe, and they show the driver on the right hand side of the vehicle. Does anybody know if the U.S. version show the driver on the left side?

drivers side depends on the car and manufacturer, just like prologue

Whoa. Does this mean that the entire time in Prologue, that tuned lancer is actually a race mod? Could this mean that many of the tuned cars in prologue were race mods? This just keeps getting interesting.

News reports can be hidden or misleading sometimes. It says he returned to his truck at 6:45pm.

The question is:

Were the keys in the truck while he was in the bathroom?
What was the truck driver doing before he left his truck?
Was the truck still running and that the driver just had to pick up something quickly?

It takes a bit of time to steal a truck, so it depends what he was doing really.

or they knew what's in the truck (most likely) arranged for someone to steal it. (inspired by the black ops theft) they will split the profits.:nervous:

I gotta ask this question. There are these videos popping up on youtube that supposedly show how to download GT5 for free on the web for the PS3, 360 and the PC respectively. What's up with that?

scams... obviously

Okay, we've been over this a bazillion times: the TUNED CARS from GT5P were NOT Racing Mods. They were Heavily tuned versions of the stock cars with the Aero Parts seen in the GT Auto videos.

The Racing Modifications are taking the car and making it into a race car. As seen in the TV Spot, you can see that one of the Corvette C6 cars becomes the GT2 Corvette C6-R. That is not the same thing as the the tuned car from GT5P.

I would also assume that the Racing Mods can be tuned a little more than the stock versions. We'll have to have someone do the experiments to confirm this, but I can promise you guys, racing and tuned are not the same thing.

All fake and of course illegal.

Hey by any chance do you know were i can find that video of the Corvette ??

it's probably been discussed before but i just noticed the fact that we get the awesome top gear test track, but none of the reasonably priced cars.... not the Suzuki Liana/Aerio (north america) and not the Chevrolet Lacetti either...

lame.....

I came up with a question since i got my DFGT yesterday. Will GT5 deliver a "better" FFB feeling? I mean, will the experience of running over curbs or the G-forces be better in any way? I'm not into that technical stuff.

Oh, I'm driving on FFB set to 1. To me it's easier gameplay-wise. But I want realism not easy. So maybe I'll set it to 5 later.

btw: what a HUGE difference and AWESMOME feeling when driving with a wheel vs. the pad.

Not really, just sometimes when we pre-order (all of the time for me) we get the game 1 or 2 days early. I dunno if that happens to our good ol' friends from the US.

wow 6000+ people on the site

database error

good for jordan though

yes it will be allot better than GT5p, amar212 pointed that out in his hands on review of the game.

I allways put FFB on the highest setting, it's more realistic that way, but make sure you have something rigid to secure the wheel to :p

Well excuse me, but I wasn't in that discussion so chill out. That race mod looked alot like the Tuned Lancer so I asked.

Preorders online from some retailers gets you the game early if your lucky.

Ahhhh I'm so excited, even for the little things... like changing racing suits for my driver. I feel a green Tsuchiya racing suit coming along. Yes that will do nicely

You people over in Europe sure are lucky. Even if a package is ahead of schedule UPS and FedEx will keep it in their warehouse until the delivery date.

I just checked my CE order on GameStop.com, and it still says "Pre-Order shipping 11/24". I definitely plan on purchasing a regular copy from the store during midnight release to hold me over until my CE get's to my door. :dopey:
