For something THAT big, probably a metric arse load of cash.

If I can buy it for $195 U.S. though, shipping might still work out less than buying it for $430-$450 here...

But then there'll be the problem of the power adapter and what not.

my G27 has an external adapter that can handle 100 to 240 volts and has a detachable cable from the adapter to the wall socket.

So if you can get a nice deal overseas i think that won't be a problem.

i'm a lucky basterd because my boss has a friend at logitech so i got the G27 for 200 euro, at the exchange rate 6 months ago that would have been about 240 dollars (i got it 6 monts ago)
Back then the normal price was 270 euro's here in the netherlands.

the $195 deal is pretty sick, i just hope that the flappypedals work, since they don't work in GT5P and there's no official G27 support.

Just to let people know that Best Buy No. 18 has the CE and normal versions with a prima track guide waiting now in back for the 24th. I am so mad I can't take it yet... but I did touch it..

Has anyone seen anything new on the B-spec aspect of the game? how about the mobile tools for b-spec? That is one aspect of the game that hasn't really been touched on in the leaks at all.

Can't wait for my pre-ordered Signature edition 6 days away!

Gt5 hits next week. Has anyone seen any GT5 commercials hit the States yet. Or are they waiting until Monday.

Edit: Nevermind, I just checked the New page.

Okay, we've been over this a bazillion times: the TUNED CARS from GT5P were NOT Racing Mods. They were Heavily tuned versions of the stock cars with the Aero Parts seen in the GT Auto videos.

The Racing Modifications are taking the car and making it into a race car. As seen in the TV Spot, you can see that one of the Corvette C6 cars becomes the GT2 Corvette C6-R. That is not the same thing as the the tuned car from GT5P.

I would also assume that the Racing Mods can be tuned a little more than the stock versions. We'll have to have someone do the experiments to confirm this, but I can promise you guys, racing and tuned are not the same thing.

If that's the case, we have more cars to unlock. Looking at the so called official car list, I didn't see any that states a tuned version. The ones in GT5P had tuned at the end of their description. I'd assume that they just worded them differently on the official car list, but hopefully I am wrong. Tuned cars could be prize cars.

I came up with a question since i got my DFGT yesterday. Will GT5 deliver a "better" FFB feeling? I mean, will the experience of running over curbs or the G-forces be better in any way? I'm not into that technical stuff.

Oh, I'm driving on FFB set to 1. To me it's easier gameplay-wise. But I want realism not easy. So maybe I'll set it to 5 later.

btw: what a HUGE difference and AWESMOME feeling when driving with a wheel vs. the pad.

If you wanted the best force feedback with realism you probably should have went ahead and invested in a g25 or g27. They will have the main functions supported to give you an awesome feeling.

I decided I should download the Time Trial Demo again because I'm sick of playing the games I have at the moment. Went into recent downloads, downloaded all 200 something MB and once that was finally done with the slow internet i have it said "This content has expired". I was mad. I like how Playstation Network keeps their expired demo's available for download just so it can **** you over after its done.

Well excuse me, but I wasn't in that discussion so chill out. That race mod looked alot like the Tuned Lancer so I asked.

Lol. It amazes me how a lot of people on here expects everyone else to have seen what they have seen, discussed what they have discussed, or heard everything they have heard.

From what i have seen, DFGT's FFB have garnered high reviews, so he should be fine on the FFB side, he might miss the shifter and better pedals though. :)

How about a pic instead:

GT is looking good. I bet a HD quality version could pass as two real cars. The 24th can't get here soon enough. I will try to come away with a copy in the evening hours on the 23rd. I hope I can bribe someone.

EPIC FACEPALM!

No, to make a "tuned version" all you do is take a car, take it to the performance shop buy the parts for it which also includes lighter windows and a carbon fiber hood. Then you take it to GT Auto and but bumpers, side skirts, and wings. You can also buy custom rims. There are no "Tuned" cars to unlock.

I couldn't take any pictures, but just to let you know, the track guide is available for purchase at Best Buy on Monday, so at least something is allowed out before Wednesday the 24th. It looks like a small note pad, but has all the track maps on it. Maybe it comes in the CE and signature edition already and this is just something seperate for those who get the normal edition. Its approx. 15$........
If anyone needs that I am sure all stores will have that.

I might just buy it to have something on hand earlier.....

(Gamewise) Everything is orange stickered (hard dated) , so nobody should be able to pick it up early unless they want to breach contracts....

I wish Sony will give us a full explanation for delays reasons in the future, but I don't really care, i am just glad they give us such a great product when it does come out.

I just checked my CE order on GameStop.com, and it still says "Pre-Order shipping 11/24". I definitely plan on purchasing a regular copy from the store during midnight release to hold me over until my CE get's to my door. :dopey:

Dude you might as well wait til you CE comes. Unless you plan to sell or trade in the regular. But you will only be out of the game for less that 12-24 hrs. I tried to get the CE from GS but they won't be carrying it in stores. Considering this is a game store, that is lame for a release this big. Glad I pre-ordered my CE from Best Buy. I refused to have to get this title shipped. I want to make sure I get it on the release date. Better yet, midnight release day. I will be in line at 11:30pm on the 23rd. I think I might be able to persuade a 24hr Walmart associate into giving me the CE GT5 before 12am, if not I will keeping my BB pre-order.

So this far every fundamental thing has been covered & confirmed to be quite (really) good. If one hates the decisions that pd have had to make, I hope you'll vote with your money!!!!!!! Remember it's the only way you can make a difference! 👍 So, please make it right here, right now. Thanks.

I wonder If Nurburg will have rain and snow? I still think you could sell a game with JUST Nurburgrings multi iterations for $60.

Well the official track list stated weather. What type of weather, we will just have to see when we advance that far.

Rain...💡 Only Chamonix and Alaska have snow surfaces so far...and i think only Chamonix has the Snowing weather effect.

So ive got a question about replays. I need to use Halo 3 as an example. That game has something very cool called theater mode. In there you can watch entire replays of matches, but not just that, you have full play controls, AND you can fly the camera around the action.

Is this possible in GT5? Play a race, fast forward, rewind, fly the camera around? Basically im wondering if replays are just recorded videos, or if it's the actual race data thats being played back, which enables you to fully manipulate what you're seeing. This would impress me, and is the kind of thing I expected after waiting so long. Not a deal breaker of course if its not in, but it sure as hell would be nice.

Hardvibes you're so late on that! It's not like you.. :sly:

France does have the Circuit de la Sarthe so I think its only fair if France can get it a little early, the more people that sell it early **officially** the more likely other stores will say "whoopdi dip" and let it go early.. not sure on this...

Sorry I know it probably says some where a zillion pages back, but when do the review embargo's lift?

My gamestop preorder placed in July says backordered....Im in Toronto..

For some who know, is a G27 at 330$ good value?

In US money, no. They retail here for 299. Not sure what 299 translates to over there. Add in the tax and I still don't think its that high. I got mine from Amazon this past summer for like 230. They had a rebate going on at the time.

If you are in the US wait till the weekend... Logitech will be selling them brand new for under 200$ I got mine 194$ shipped.

You know, I wonder if Logitech listened to me back when I bought mine. I asked them if they would be selling a combo with GT5. The never responded so I bought one anyway since they had a rebate going on at the time. But they realized how many more of these wheels they could sell with this game releasing so now they are offering deals left and right.

Maybe it's because of that truck jacking :indiff:

Dont forget too, there may be some great sales on it AFTER the game comes out. Amazon is known for doing this. Wont be surprised at all to see some steal on their site in the days after release.

They did this with those street fighter 4 mad catz sticks. They were $150 the day before release. The day after they were $99.

Quick question: will there be pit stops in GT5 and if so how controllable are they for the player?
Cheers!
