Are you staying home tomorrow or go to school or work

I have work tomorrow but GT5 is to powerfull and convincing me to stay home LOL

I also had the problem of the install screen being stuck on 40% for ages. The solution is to press circle to quit install. Then all you have to do is quit the game, restart it and when it asks if you want to install again, click yes. It will then install the rest of the data rather than start from scratch. It took just two minutes to finish installing then for me. Hope this helps.

Got to work, played only 3 hrs today :nervous: I don´t know how to work 9 hrs tomorrow :nervous:

The installation took ~50 minutes, even though it says 20 minutes... On mine, 2 minutes were left and it took over 10-15 minutes...

So relax, eat something or watch two and a half man during installation, like I did :D

just wanna say that i love the game!!

the driving feel is awesome

10/10 pd

You guys are killing me! I have a physics exam tonight at 7pm local time and all I want to do is go find the game. Lol Waiting until my local GameStop opens at 10am ( no midnight release >.< ) Is going to be absolutely horrible. I shall just be on here, watching all of your comments lol

I've got the game this lunchtime from my local games shop and now I've got to wait until 5PM (that's 3 hours and 35 minutes from now) to finish work, then face a 45 minute commute home, then download a 133MB patch, then install 6.4 to 10GB of data before I can finally play it.

Whatever happened to the good old days when you just put in the disc and play?

Still if you don't learn patience waiting 5 years for PD to do their stuff then you're probably never going to learn it.

you dont need to install the game to play. Only the patch

just hooked up my g25, going to sleep now. ~17hours before im unpacking my SE, but oh well, im so used to this waiting scene that i dont mind couple extra hours at school before picking up my copy, i know it will be worth it

i was looking in the "tuning parts" section of the info PD released regarding the features. they give a rundown of all the engine/chassis/drivetrain/transmission/tyre upgrades u can purchase, but i could not find anything regarding brake upgrades.

am i missing something? =/

Does anybody know if Online time trial leaderboards are in?
I cant seem to find anywhere that you can do them or compare laptimes with friends.

Maybe tomorrow we will have this.

I'm hoping that we do.I love tuning and hotlapping. It's just one of those things that would prolong the game for me after i'm done with the game.

I still have to make it all the way through this day and then all the way through tomorrow before I can pick up my PS3, and then drive half an hour home, and then unpack it, set it up, and finally play GT5.

Nearly 36 hours.

I hate you all.

A picture from the new update showing damage, however, the back sides of the left wheels are missing. As if they were never modeled.

A little lower on the page you will see:

"*Images shown are from a pre-final version of the game."

Nobody panic. :) :scared:

Ok guys. First car: Mazda Axela 23S '03. Here we go! :D

Why on earth did you wait to buy your PS3 the same time as GT5 launches? I woulda gotten the PS3 out the way atleast a week in advance, now you have to do all that setting up.

This is so crazy, I cannot believe the game will actually release tomorrow. I have never been this excited for a video game release. I havent posted much but I have been following these forums since I got a ps3 years ago. Thank you all for keeping the news going for all this time. Enjoy this! The day is finally here!

Installing: 45secs remaining for about 10mins... GT5 it even bends time!

Oh dear... :P just kidding, I'm in work tonight so have to buy it on my break, then work a full day with it in my locker before heading home... surely it will be hell!

I got a bundle.

320Gb PS3 + GT5 for $487

Ridiculous saving as the 320PS3 is normally $550 here, and GT5 would be $77 on top of that.

Saved myself about $140 ;)

From seven. But now they're closed... oh now it's 3secs remaining for 1min...:dopey:

happy Gaming!!!! I search all the big retailers but none got it....

There must be a menu bug???? I am online, and entering GT mode it asks for the Home settings, then a screen for 'basic information setting' where you can do whatever you want, you cannot get the game to respond by clicking on 'OK'.

Thus I cant play GT mode while i am logged in online as it demands this setup every time you enter Gt mode logged into PSN.

HELP?

EDIT: After quitting and back into the game 5 times, it allowed me into GT mode while online without asking the questions and getting unresponsive at said 'basic info setting' screen. Be warned people...
