Anyone else who has the game, when you we're installing it(if you did), did it sit on 18 minutes left for a little bit?

Nope, my install took exactly 34 minutes.

Mine was at 15 mins for 37, and 23 seconds for 12 mins.

Ok thanks, it probably varies a little bit. I was getting a little worried.

Seriously, most fun i've had in a racing game since Ferrari Challenge first came out. In comparison to GT5p, the fun factor is hugely increased. Not just because it is the full game, but the actual driving is so much more enjoyable, and the AI! The AI is the best in a GT game ever, from what i've seen so far. It doesn't just sit on the racing line any more, it dives and dodges about, trying to outdrive you and the other AI cars constantly. So far, bit too easy to outbrake, but i don't mind because i just want to progress at this point. I am massively enjoying this GT so far.

Yeah my mate got it yesterday and while installing it stayed on 13 for like 20 mins
 
anyone knows how to map the g27's buttons yet? doesnt work like in prologue

In a nut shell: don't touch the config for the G27! Everything works out of the box on auto-detect :)

Paddles are working great! Also, you can use the manual shift.
In order to use the clutch just press it to activate. To deactivate the clutch hit the top black button (from what I recall off the top of my head)

Enjoy the game and enjoy the wheel! And for those not using a G27, please, if there is better, well tell me :dunce:

I know there are some 3rd party guys around making wheels with logos and such, however, I took this wheel apart twice and the engines are perfect. Should last a solid year with me (I drive hard...)

Being used to GT2-4 licenses I would say familiar difficulty.
Aspec-9events each class- it's beginner-amateur-pro-expert-extrem - but I think more will unlock. Some challeges under special have 21+ requirements to play. Some of the cups have up to 6 races with alot of laps, expect like 12-14 minutes a race x 6 = quite long cup.

Well this forum has died on its butt then hasn't it? Really not much point posting anything on here. Sorry but I won't be sharing any Photomode pictures or car specs :lol: . Sorry to stuff you all around but now the games out I have no reason to post anymore, ha ha!

I'll just read the forums n look at other people's pictures instead. :)
 
Any word on a new logitech model or special gt5 edition wheel? I feel like I should wait to spend a good 300$$ on a new wheel since the game just came out.. Unless the g27 is really that great, I want to see full compatibility

Pre-Release players might take note Patch V1.1 now the Upgrades show a blue checkmark where you own the upgrade. Also note, you may need to downgrade your car in order to enter certain races.(more often rally type races) 👍

GAHHH!!!!!! They got it perfect! Physics are way better than TT demo. You can be so much more precise now and its not such a chore to drive well - just like in real life. You know that feeling mid-corner in real life when the tires are at the limit of adhesion, sidewalls flexing, cornering at the limit? Yeah, you can finally get a sense of that. It's really breathtaking, even in the Miata.

Can you not practice at the Nurbrgring or the Top Gear test track?
 
Got a text from the local gamestop telling me that my GT5 is ready to pick up Wednesday morning but the problem is that the money I had transferred from paypal won't be available until midday Wednesday or early Thursday.

yes everything in the wheel works by default but i wanted to map the buttons like on prologue, wipers, beams, etc
 
I've been watching youtube videos... And I just realized that there is no longer ANY ambiguity regarding collisions with other cars. If you bump another car, you hear it. You really, really hear it. No more pointless arguing over whether your opponent hit you or not.:D

morning people, happy gran turismo 5 day.

I just had my first GT5 nightmare:nervous: i was dreaming i was going to pick up the game from a store, and my sister was taking me to get it. what was supposed to be a 20 min journey had turned into an half an hour, when we arrived.. my sister just drove straight past the shop, and we couldn't turn round at all, no roundabout, no room for a 3 point turn. haha thats pretty sad.

anyway, got work till 1pm! should make the morning go a bit quicker. hopefully :) should come home to a delivered gt5 game. heres hoping. :)
 
Oh wow... I'm installing it and it has been saying "45 seconds" for about 5 minutes. :D But the bar has been moving...
