Well... it's almost lunch time here. Which for me means picking up my copy!

And if for some reason it hasn't arrived, I'll be running to every store in the city until a get one! Definitively not going home without it today...

Thanks for your tips on the install time. I'll start it as soon as I get home, 1st thing :D

honestly, the game is awesome! the menus are a little over elaborate, but isn't that what we all love about GT?

i'm sat in work wishing i could go home and play on it some more!!

How do I get this updtae 1.01? It doesnt pop up when I start the game, and now the server is down again. I cant even get my SLS-competition-code up and running, whats going on?

I just put the disc in my PS3 and installed the update. Then I get a confirmation which says "Accessing game data. Please do not switch off the system while the HDD indicator is flashing." There is a flashing "OK" icon which does not respond when I confirm and the HDD indicator is not flashing at all.

Is this normal? :sick:

I imagine servers will be burning up today, some people at PD will be working overtime today, mine is enroute and hopefully everything is up and running then.

I don't think there are any problems with the servers, just make sure your PS3 is connected to the internet and that you are not downloading anything else (torrents etc.) on your computers. I downloaded the patch within 3 minutes and the game installed within 30 minutes, no glitches at all.

Where the hell is the Nurburgring in the practice mode? I finished the AMG driving acadamey thinking that would unlock it, and it still hasn't. Can someone explain this?

The AMG Challenge have more than 1 level, when you reach a higher A-Spec lvl more icons will show in the AMG Challenge. The Sunny Ring is the reward for the Medium lvl I think. The one with Time/Weather is unlocked after the hard lvl (which requires like ... can't remember i guess around lvl 15)
 
Ahhhhhhhh just got the game, its installing the 133mb now, passing the time with the Apex book which is fantastic by the way:tup:

need a bit of help / knowledge. I cant create a track that is point to point there is no way of changing it on any of the different locations, any ideas or can someone point me in the right direction, or has it gone ? also where is the veyron ? I cant find it or the bugatti dealer.(I'm @ level 14 by the way if that makes any difference)

Just play A-Spec and you will get a free Veyron after beating the last cup on pro level.

... and yes the Veyron is Standard. It also does show up in the used cars section for 2.000.000 credits from time to time.
 
I'm a bit disappointed with the dynamic theme that comes with the CE.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong ? Has anyone else downloaded it as well ?

I've got this message as well. Anyone else having this problem? I'm in the UK and have the CE.

Guys, are the horrendous loading times going to stay horrendous forever?

On the plus side, I'm rocking a very subtle bright gold Civic at the moment.
 
The anticipation is SO intense!!!

I'm at work - started at 8, finish at 4.30 - 40-minute drive to go and pick up my girlfriend, then gotta go home and install the game! meaning I wont be home till 5.30-ish, and that means I'm not gonna be playing this game until at least 6.30-ish :drool:!

Happy that I've booked tomorrow off work so I can smash out some Gran Turismo! :sly:

*raises imaginary glass*... Here's to hoping that GT5 actually DOES come through my letterbox today. If not, Very.co.uk are gonna get a ****ing earful from me! and I'll probably break down and cry like a little girl... I'm not sure I could take anymore.

I just watched the Intro on my 50inch plasma with 5:1 surround, I take back EVERYTHING negitive I once said about it, and that chemical romanace song has really grown on me. IT WAS EPIC, really got me pumped up for the game!:)

Hey, I thought I had the same problem after installing the game data to the hdd. Turned out I had my steering wheel connected to the usb port so my dualshock controller was player 2. Maybe there is another issue for you but I just had to press X on my steering wheel. :dopey:
 
no much activities here anymore, everyone is playing GT5 and only those (like me) are here because they are either at work or waiting for their GT5 :)
