Does head tracking work in career mode, and more importantly online? This youtube video suggests that it only works in arcade mode.

I don't have the PS eye yet, and was planning on buying it today along with the game. But if it only working in Arcade, I might have second thoughts. Why on earth would they not allow this awesome feature in career/online? I hope that isn't true.

i dont understand why ign give it only 8.5 o many things to do so many cars tracks everyything and some stupid arcade nfs got 9.0 what is there? gameplay have got 9 what?

Ahm .... how old are you ? Funny question, but valid.

You will soon discover that all big Video Game sites rate the games the highest that they are paid for the most. If IGN is flashing all over the place with NFS ads you won't read a good GT5 review.
Honesty does not pay bills, big *** money from videogame companies does.
IGN is actually one of the first sites that started "biasing" reviews for ad-money.
With one NFS title especially it was pretty fun. IGN, and 3 other sites had the same (100% text same) article up ... but they don't have the same editors, how come ? Well EA press agency typed the review, and even mentioned features that were never in it.

I just waiting all day.. I can't even eat my breakfast, its cold now for 6 hours.. just waching the web.. waiting.. I will get my copy tomorrow morning, how I should get some sleep.. I should probably go drunk or something :D cant wait..
 
I tried it in GT-life and it works ok, but you need to place it so it has a clear view of your face. Mine was set too low :dunce: so it didn't track perfectly.
But I try to make some contraption to set the camera higher.
 
during gameplay you won´t notice ( focused in driving ), but in the 3,2,1 countdown... oh my, the shadows are terrible.

physics are awesome, clutch and mapped buttons work (G25), no abs is very well modeled.
Started with Premium Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) ‘89, sports filter and engine mod.

just have fun! 👍
and wait patiently for the upcoming patches
 
GT5 Hit the carpet today, all wrapped in a rather fetching brown cardboard envelope. Chained to the Desk at Work so another couple of hours before I can slam this into the PS3. All Shivery with delight at the thought.
 
It's so good. Two things though:

Earlier i got the online freeze up, which was very annoying. Had to restart. Luckily data ok.

Also, I installed the game on first load up, and also performed the manual install from the options. But it still says (installing now) when i go into certain menus and areas. WTF! Why did i do the long ass install if i still have to wait for things to install?

im 16 but if is true ign is so lame the same i think about assasins cread B. they gave him only 8 and the average on gamerankings is 91 %

lol! That makes both of us! Although I picked up my copy at lunch i'm still dying to get home to have a go and see what all the fuss is about.

I kept my DFGT in the box all month!! I haven't even used it yet!!! 👍
 
I just need to go to GS to pick up the game. They opened half an hour ago from my time.

Just enjoy the game.
 
somehow Im not feeling for gt5..even though i pre-orded it. I have life decisions to make and that's the most important thing ever. (life is tough):/
 
Some of the replies in this thread are comedy gold :)

I think the more 'extreme' fans of the GT series are the most extreme of any game. I'll just leave it at that because it's absolutely pointless getting involved in this thread. But I'll just leave this thought.....the only opinion that really matters is your own ;)
 
So I'm sitting outside my local gamestop in my car cuz they refuse to open early. Lol my CE is a few mere feet away!! Ahhhhh I wants to playyyy
 
Is it just me or are the licence tests harder than ever and I just cant seem to get silver never mind gold, damn it's hard (using dpad)

btw where do I turn on driving assists in the settings menu or can it only be done during races from the ra menu that you have to set buttons to for it to work or are they the options you can set before the race ?
(do they always stay the same or do you have to set them each time for each race, ie do they return to defaults ?)
Oh and are the online features working correctly now ? I haven't dared to do a online race via the lobby as im too afraid that my save will get corrupted:scared:

Do the pre-order codes expire?I pre-ordered from Gamestop so i will get the Mclaren F1 Stealth and Gamestop Nascar but my PS3 is broken so i am borrowing my nephews and installing as i type.It may be a month before i can get myself another PS3 but i'm going to use his until then.My question is will my pre-order codes ever expire?And where is the code for them at?There is no code on my receipt nor inside the game case.:nervous:
