I don't think there are any problems with the servers, just make sure your PS3 is connected to the internet and that you are not downloading anything else (torrents etc.) on your computers. I downloaded the patch within 3 minutes and the game installed within 30 minutes, no glitches at all.

I'm going to go pop down town in a little bit and get my copy, is there anything I should know before I install? I know there was some online troubles. Or is it safe to install and update now?
 
if your controller is registered as controller #2 it won't register your 'ok' after update. Press X on your #1 controller (likely a wheel) and you're good to go.

You wouldn't believe but i have installed the game and left home as i had a meeting :) so i have the game all ready with my G27 cockpit but there is no one to play it at the moment, ironic

The servers are fully up now, I believe. However, there are two ways to install the game.

1. Install everything all at once first, thereby cutting down loading times in the game. (Which takes 40-50 minutes)
2. Or, install it as you go, prompting higher loading times in the game, but without a 40-50 minute install.
 
Waiting for mine here on the west coast, USA. Scheduled to arrive today.
 
Are the Online Time Trial Leaderboards up yet? Getting conflicting reports about this.

all I could think about was GT5.... disturbing isn't it:nervous:

yeah, you can mate... but supposedly you can only use them in arcade mode

so it's a little pointless really, since it won't help GT mode at all

Can someone from the U.S. that bought the C.E. confirm what useful information is in the Apex book. I have one preordered but I also bought the regular version from Walmart at midnight since I was impatient. If the book isn't useful, I will bypass it and the DLC cars. Cars in which will be DLC for everyone down the road eventually.
 
It might have been discussed before, but one of my first reactions when playing GT5 today was: Where are the one make events? I the Prologue a number of the car makes had own events, and I recall GT4 had the same? Am I missing something, or has PD excluded this from the game. If so it´s sad. It was a great opportunity to win other cars, and of course, more events to play.
 
Well, after so many years of waiting - my signature edition installs as I write :D

People may gripe about the game, reviews may be bad but since 2PM today I do not care about all that :D

The smell of the apex book ink coming out of the box, perfect editing of the book, 2 cards for stealth cars, 1 competition card and tacky wallet - priceless :)
 
the day is finally here. 4 or 5 hours until the package arrives. Argh!

I guess I knew something had to go wrong @ FNAC... ended up buying it off the shelf as my PRE-order hadn't arrived to the store... That's the exact same store where I bough another copy off the shelf and that's been selling it since midnight... :dunce:

I decided to keep the order to get the redeem codes for the cars, but then I'll return it unopened as if it were the one I got today, using this receipt. So that is my "tip" if any of you get into the same kind of problem. Almost ruined my day...

Now, 4 more hours to go home!
 
PSN is starting to clogg up in the uk , so it may take a while for the update to download. I have a pretty good connection which should only take a few mintutes to download 133mb but it is taking in excess of 30mins
 
i dont understand why ign give it only 8.5 o many things to do so many cars tracks everyything and some stupid arcade nfs got 9.0 what is there? gameplay have got 9 what?
you just drive oh sorry drift and passing smashing polices cars and go to finish line and this got 9 ehhh. ign you disappointed me sorry for my english. if is
 
After all the build up, the promises, the emotions, the controversies, delays, theories, anxiety, and even dreams..I'm happy to say, the wait is finally over =)

- When you sell cars how much lower are there value. Another words similar to previous GT games, unlike what Forza has done to set as a fixed credit for all cars.
- Has anybody found cars that hold high values such as the Tuscan 12 in GT2 or Ford GT40 in GT4.


Sitting on the sideline :crazy:, not much longer.

I've not done a championship yet, but only one prize car in non championship events and you can't win it more than once either. B-Spec has a different set of prize cars to A-Spec.
 
now installing...finally I get to play it. Just want to say thank you Polyphony Digital and Kaz...I love you all! No more waiting now...back to GT and GTP!👍

So I picked up the collector's edition at Best Buy this morning, they had it in the back not even out on the floor yet. I was a little worried I wouldn't get one when the guy at Gamestop didn't know what I was talking about when I went to preorder earlier this week. So anyone who wants the collector's edition I'd call BestBuy or just stop by this morning.
